Ash of War: Flame Spearis also a new addition that not only has a cool animation but can also deal decent damage and apply the Flame Art buff to a weapon. ForElden Ringplayers looking toget the Flame Spear Ash of Warand learn exactly what it does, this guide provides the necessary information.

Ash Of War: Flame Spear – Overview & Weapon Types
This Ash of War grants an armament the Flame Art affinity and the following skill:
“Flame Spear: Skill of Kood, captain of the Fire Knights. Ready weapon for a thrusting attack and unleash a spear of flame straight ahead. Charge the attack to increase damage dealt and distance traveled.”

InElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Flame Spear is a new Ash of War that grants its equipped weapon the Flame Art affinity. The Ash of War: Flame Spear weapon types include thrusting armaments.
When you use this Ash of War, the user thrusts their weapon, which causes a flame spear to shoot straight. After the animation is over, your weapon will retain the Flame Art buff for around 30 to 40 seconds. The range on this Ash of War is surprisingly good, allowing you to snipe enemies from a distance in a mere second.

As the Flame Spear can also be charged, this allows you to equip theGodfrey Icon, further increasing the total output damage of the skill. The Ash of War costs 19 FP, and a Faith andDexterity-focused buildwould be a great choice for it.
