WhileSenua’s Saga: Hellblade 2follows a linear story, it doesn’t mean that it won’t find ways to challenge fans of the franchise. In the latest installment, gamers will once again be tested with a series of puzzles that block progress throughout Ninja Theory’s latest epic story. Aside from collecting stone faces and the totem polesknown as Lorestangir, the puzzles inHellblade 2will provide players with a mild challenge to keep them on their toes.
In thesecond chapter ofHellblade 2, titled Freyslaug, Senua will venture with the wounded slaver Thorgestr to a settlement that has been destroyed by the undead Draugar. While Thorgestr is hesitant to enter, Senua makes her way into the deserted village and finds herself blocked by an obstacle that can only be removed by discovering the three glyphs on it. How To Find All Freyslaug Village Glyphs in Hellblade 2
Hellblade 2isn’t a particularly long game, especially in comparison to other big-name titles on the market, but it will halt progress through the narrative from time to time by challenging players with sudden puzzles to solve. To pass the newly-formed obstacle in Senua’s way in the Freyslaug village, players will need to locate and replicate the three symbols that are combined on the blockade and form the lock that is halting any further progress. In order to do this, players will need to find the red pieces of wood and line them up until each symbol appears in the middle of the screen.
When the symbol appears and the red wood forms the required shape, players will simply need tohold the Focus button, which is LT/RT on the Xbox and E on PC, to “find” the shape and clear that section of the glyph.
First Freyslaug Village Symbol Location
The first symbol players will find to clear the passage out of the abandoned village is the easiest to spot. In order to find it, you will simply need to walk in the opposite direction to the blockade and head down the path until you reach a dead end.
Like all the symbols players will be hunting for in this section ofHellblade 2, the cross glyph is layered, and can only be discovered by lining up the red features in the background until they form the desired symbol. The first symbol is an easy one to create, as the layers are on the same level vertically, so players will only need to move from side to side until the glyph appears on the screen.
Second Freyslaug Village Symbol Location
After discovering the first symbol, players will want to go back to the blockade with the complete symbol and turn left after the last hut on the left. Venture around this building and in through the door, then climb the ladder in the center of the room.
After climbing the ladder, you will be able to align the red pieces of wood on the left as you look over the platform until the symbol appears in the middle of the screen. Once all the components of the symbol are lined up, hold the focus button to reveal the second glyph.
Third Freyslaug Village Symbol Location
The final glyph in the Freyslaug village is the most difficult to find, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it is particularly tough overall. The key to finding the final piece is to explore the village in its entirety, including passing through any doors with white chalk on them to indicate they can be interacted with.
Players will find the third symbol by entering one of the houses on the left as they walk away from the blockade. The house in question is past a larger hut with an animal hide on a rack, followed by a fence. Once you enter through the door, you will see an opening on the other side of the room to pass through.
Once out of the building, you’ll find yourself in another small clearing, which is home to another house on the left side. Players will need to go into this house, then interact with the blocked doorway to duck underneath the wooden planks in the way. From there, take a right and follow the path as it ascends slightly.
At the end of the path, after dropping down a couple of ledges, players will be able to find the final symbol by turning to the right and lining up the red wood until it makes the last glyph. Once lined up, interact with it and the final piece of this puzzle will be solved. Players can then climb down the ledge on the left-hand side where the glyph is formed, and make their way back to the blockadeto save their progressand continue to the next section of the story.
