Stranded Deepthrows players into a deserted island with little to no resources. However, it doesn’t take that much for real survivors to not only gather the essentials but also go on to construct their own shelter, base, and even their own tower.

The last of those things, the tower, is not easy to build, though. It’s a resource-draining construction with a rather controversial use. Regardless, players who want to see what’s beyond the horizon can do so by building a tower inStranded Deep.
How to Build a Tower in Stranded Deep
With the right recipe, building a tower inStranded Deepis pretty straightforward. Players just need to create aTower Foundationon a flat surface and add aTower Flooron top of it. To decorate the build they can then get on top and construct a Flagpole near the edge.
Here’s a step-by-step guide:
In total, players need 54 sticks, 10 lashings, 9 planks, and 1 tarp to construct a functional tower. Since the recipe comes with a ladder, there is no need tobuild an extra wood staircase. The structure is ready to use right after assembly.
The tower recipe might not appear in the Quick Crafting menu. To access it for the first time, players should open the Crafting menu and head to the Tower section marked by the castle icon.

How to Build Towers without the Recipe
Beginner players inStranded Deepdon’t have access to the tower recipe. Even so, there’s a workaround that will allow them to build tall structures that imitate a tower’s functionality.
To build a basic Tower, players can place a Wood Foundation on a surface and build four Wood Walls around it. Next, they’ll need to create another foundation next to the walls and attach a Wooden Staircase to it. They should then climb the steps and cap the walls with Wooden Floor and repeat the process to get a Tower.
If resources are a concern, players can simply build a staircase on top of a Wood Foundation Wedge. This will function as a primal lookout tower with minimum material.
What to Use the Tower For
InStranded Deep, the tower doesn’t have a particular use. It can mark islands as it’s visible from far away, and it can also function as a lookout tower for spotting certainanimals like sharks. However, the use ultimately depends on players’ needs.
Stranded Deepis available now for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
