Although mostmodern fighting gamesare geared mainly toward online multiplayer, there are still a fair amount of people who take enjoyment from the genre’s single-player offerings. Thankfully,Tekken 8doesn’t disappoint in this regard, with players treated to three story-centric game modes to keep them busy when their friends are offline.
In addition to The Dark Awakens, which serves as the main story mode inTekken 8, players will also be able to play through character episodes for each of the game’s 32 playable fighters and a new mode called Arcade Quest. Between the three of them, players can expect to sink a fairly decent chunk of time into the game’s main offline modes.

How Long Does it Take to Beat Tekken 8? (All Single-Player Content)
Realistically,it will take most players around seven or eight hours to complete all of the single-player offerings inTekken 8. The main story should account for around two and a half hours of this total, while Arcade Quest can be finished off in around ninety minutes once players have figured out how to level up quickly. The most substantial single-player content that the game has to offer comes in the form of its 32 character episodes, which typically last around seven minutes a piece, making for a total of around three or four hours, give or take. Those who plan onunlocking alternate outfits for every playable character inTekken 8can also expect to spend another hour or so in Arcade Quest after they’re done with the mode’s final chapter.
1-2 Hours
How Does Tekken 8’s Single-Player Content Compare to Mortal Kombat 1 and Street Fighter 6?
When compared to the latest installments in the two other big fighting game franchises, the single-player content on offer inTekken 8is arguably a little lackluster; at least when it comes to length. The main story ofMortal Kombat 1takes around seven hours to complete, with each new season of Invasions Mode adding an additional five or six hours of single-player content to the game; grindy, though it may be. Then there are tower endings for every character, which works out to another ten hours or so of content. As forStreet Fighter 6, players can expect to sink around 15 hours into the main story of the game’s World Tour mode, with side quests and other activities bringing that total up toward the 20-hour mark. Of course, length really isn’t everything, andTekken 8is still a fantastic fighting game regardless of its shortcomings.
