Set in a massive world,Hogwarts Legacyis an action RPG game that took the world by storm, causing significant excitement among gamers. One of its many features is the Merlin Trials, which require players to solve puzzles and complete tasks testing their puzzle-solving capabilities.
Manor Cape is home to five of these trials inHogwarts Legacy, each with its own unique challenges and solutions. Players can turn to this guide to find tricks on how to solve each of the five Merlin Trials.

Manor Cape Merlin Trials In Hogwarts Legacy
There are five MerlinTrials in Manor Cape andHogwarts Legacyplayers can tackle them in any order. Some players may think there are some missing Trials in Manor Cape, but they won’t appear on the map until players pass near them.
The five trials are:
Merlin Trial #1 - Brazier Puzzle
This Merlin Trial is located north of West Manor Cape Waypoint. Players can find the Trial next to an abandoned mansion with a large garden in front of it. Once activated, players can castRevelioto find the three Brazier Pillars scattered near the Trial.
CastConfringoon the Pillars to successfully light them up in succession. Ideally, start from the tallest one all the way to the smallest Pillar. That will ensure that players haveenough time to light up all three Pillars.
It is also better to stand in a place where the protagonist can reach all three Braziers. In the right place, players don’t have to aim as Confringo will automatically prioritize the Pillars.
Merlin Trial #2 - Stone Sphere Puzzle
People can locate this Merlin Trial at a shore, southeast of West Manor Cape Floo Flame. This Merlin Trial is complicated, to say the least. Instead of rolling the stone sphere down into the location, players have to find a way to carry it all the way up the hill.
There are two ways to solve the MerlinTrial inHogwarts Legacy. The first solution is to continuously use theDepulsospell to push the stone sphere all the way along the track to its destination. However, if there is one mistake, the stone sphere will fall all the way back.
Meanwhile, the second method allows people to finish this trial more safely.Levitate the sphere using Wingardium Leviosa and carefully walk up the hill to place it on a rock, making sure it won’t move after it lands.

Then,fly to the stone platform, and from there, Wingardium Leviosa the stone sphere to the target location.
Merlin Trial #3 - Firefly Puzzle
One of the Merlin Trials inHogwarts Legacycan be found just before a bridgesoutheast of Manor Cape. In this trial, players must lead three hordes of fireflies into a moonstone pillar to light it up. The first moonstone pillar is located right next to the Merlin Trial with the firefly horde right behind it. To activate the wand’s flashlight, useLumos. This will lure the fireflies to the wand.
The second horde of fireflies is hidden inside a small cave, protected by Devil’s Snare. To find the cave, head left just before reaching the bridge, then jump down and look for the cave on the left. Use Lumos to scare away the Devil’s Snare and catch the fireflies using the same spell. After that, players can climb back up to locate the second moonstone pillar and bring the fireflies to it. If the fireflies escape the wand while climbing, players can simply use Lumos again to attract them back.
The final horde of fireflies is located in the opposite direction from the cave. Players can retrace their steps to find the last pillar, which is located further away from the second one. The three moonstone pillars can be easily located by casting Revelio.
Merlin Trial #4 - Stone Cube Puzzle
Another Merlin Trial can be found on the eastern shore ofManor Cape inHogwarts Legacy. After activating it, players can interact with three symbol cubes, which consist of two attached cubes with symbols carved on all sides.

To solve this trial, players need tomatch the symbols on the top and bottom cubes by using Flipendo. It’s important tostand on the correct side, so make sure to use the bottom cube as the reference.

These symbol cubes are different from the first two as they require three casts of Flipendo.
Merlin Trial #5 - Stone Pillar Puzzle
The final Merlin Trial is located at the southern end of Manor Cape and is guarded by Ashwinders and Poachers. Defeat the enemies and activate the Merlin Trial.
After activating the Merlin Trial, players should cast Revelio to reveal five stone pillars scattered throughout the area. Use one Confringo spell or twoBombardato destroy the pillars and complete the Merlin Trial.
