How Damage and Healing Works
WheneverHave a Nice Deathplayers take damage, they will notice that part of their health bar will turn gray. This indicates that players have sustained an injury. If an injury is not healed soon, that part of the health bar will disappear andplayers will not be able to healpast that point. So essentially, that becomes their new maximum health until that part ofthe health bar can be restored with a Pure Heal, which is discussed below.
How to Heal
The primary method for healing inHave a Nice Deathis touse an Anima. Anima will appear as either a light blue orb, or a gold orb (referred to as Golden Anima). Blue Anima can heal any part of the health bar that is gray. If there is part of the health bar that is gone, regular Anima cannot heal that. This will require a Pure Heal from Golden Anima. A Pure Heal is an effect that restores health, heals injuries, and can restore maximum health that has been lost.
Golden Anima can be occasionally found and picked upwhile exploring Departments throughout Death Incorporated. Beyond that,Have a Nice Deathplayers can also get Golden Anima by gathering enough regular Anima. When full on regular Anima, any additional regular Anima that is picked up will combine and one slot will turn into Golden Anima.

Other Methods for Healing
Aside from Anima, there are other means for getting health back. At random, players can find cups of Koffee. This item will heal a small amount of health, but it will not restore any injuries. As players level up through runs, they will eventually unlock a floor that has a chance of spawning called the Relaxation Room.
Inside this room, players will find a Koffee machine that can be used once, and it is free. This will completely heal any injuries and restore health back to maximum. But due to the random natureof this roguelike game, players cannot rely on this option all the time. In addition, there are Blue Curses that can provide players with a small Pure Heal overtime that is permanent for the rest of the run.
