Grand Theft Auto Onlinetoday announced The Last Dose Hard Mode event, offering a number of rare items to particularly tenacious players. The limited-time promo is the latest in the long string of events that launched as part of theLos Santos Drug Wars update forGTA Online.
While the bulk of the Los Santos Drug Wars expansion revolved around story missions, Rockstar has been rolling out plenty of smaller content drops and promotional events since debuting the update in December 2022. The latest such promo offered double cash and RP rewards on allGTA OnlineLos Santos Drug Wars story missionsin late March.

Meanwhile, this newly launched event is limited to the second part of story missions from the expansion, collectively called The Last Dose. From April 27 through May 17,GTA Onlineplayers are able to earn 50% more GTA bucks and RPs for completing The Last Dose missions. But that’s only a secondary benefit to this newly started promo, which primarily seeks to incentivize players to tackle The Last Dose content on the hardest difficulty level in order to obtain some rare pieces of clothing and accessories. Those who manage to complete all The Last Dose story content on Hard will also be rewarded with a special Micro SMG finish.
The start of The Last Dose Hard Mode event coincides with thereturn of the Weeny Issi Rally SUV ride toGTA Online. Originally introduced in January, this compact SUV inspired by the Mini John Cooper Works WRC can now once again be picked up from Simeon’s Premium Deluxe Motorsport showroom until May 2. Players who don’t fancy a ride to West Los Santos can also simply order the car by visiting the Southern San Andreas Super Autos website on their iFruit phones during the promotional period. The ride itself is priced at 1.8 million GTA bucks and can be upgraded at Hao’s Special Works until May 3. This auto shop is exclusive to the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC versions ofGTA Online.
Players are also able to earn double rewards for completing the Acquire Targets fighter pilot training exercise over the next week. Finally, the latest update toGTA Onlineintroduced some futuristic shades in the form of Wraps Glasses, which can now be picked up in most in-game clothing shops. Unlike every other piece of content arriving at the start of The Last Dose Hard Mode event, Wraps Glasses appear to be a permanent addition to the hit online game.
SinceGTA Onlineis pushing 10 nowadays, it remains to be seen how much longer will Rockstar keep supporting its hit gamewith regular content updates. Not least becauseGTA 6and its online componentfinally seem to be on the horizon, according to recent reports.
