Although Rockstar has finally confirmed thatGTA 6is in development, there’s no expectation that it’ll be arriving to replaceGTA 5any time soon. This means that many players are still getting theirGTAfix in the 2013 release and its consistently-popularGTA Onlinemode.GTA Onlineis a sandbox of missions, heists, and challenges for players to earn cash, and those with enough wealth can build up significant fleets of vehicles.
One of the higher tierstatus symbols inGTA Onlineis being able to own and store planes. However, when a player needs a quick injection of cash, it can be a good idea to sell an old or outdated aircraft to receive half of its value back. Unfortunately, selling planes inGTA Onlineisn’t the most straightforward process and requires players to have made a significant investment first.

Buying a Hangar and Workshop in GTA Online
Before players can sell their planes inGTA Online, they first need tobuy a Hangar to store them in. There are five Hangars available for sale in the Maze Bank app, ranging in price from $1.2m to $3.25m.
Players who buy aHangar in Fort Zancudowill be allowed limited access to the base, including the ability to drive through the checkpoint without picking up a wanted level.
Once players have a Hangar filled with planes to sell, they’llnext need to buy a Workshopto actually do the deal. The Workshop is one of many Hangar improvements available for purchase and will set players back $1.15m. As well as allowing players to sell theirplanes inGTA Online, the Workshop also allows them to respray and customize their aircraft.
Selling Planes in GTA Online
Once players have built a Workshop in theirGTA OnlineHangar, they’re ready to sell planes. To do this,simply enter the aircraft, thenpress the button on-screen to begin modifying it. At the bottom of theGTA Onlinecustomization menu, there will be an option to sell the aircraft for half of its original value.
This method can be used to sell most planes inGTA Online, but playerswon’t be able to sell any vehicle from Pegasus. The transport company’s vehicles can be stored in the Hangar, and even customized in the Workshop, but players won’t have the option to sell them.
Fortunately, any non-Pegasus vehicle can be freely sold, helping to free up some cash for otherGTA Onlineprojects.
