Gotham Knightstasks players with overcoming a number of foes in the quest to solve Batman’s last case and protect Gotham City. The final and greatest foe players must face in the main story is Talia Al Ghul, the new leader of the League of Shadows and the mysterious third party mentioned while investigating Dr Langstrom.

Talia Al Ghul is a suitably dramatic final foe inGotham Knights, consisting of two phases with an array of dangerous attacks to test player’s skills. Players will also have to face her immediately after the battle with Bruce Wayne, with no time to rest or recover before Talia starts her assault.

How to Beat Talia: First Phase

During the first part of the fight,Talia attacks with quick and deadly sword swingswhile using the League of Shadows' favorite trick: teleportation. Her slashing combos can be countered using piercing attacks to open her up to a combo, or evaded with good timing to land a perfect attack.

She’ll also sometimes swap to her bow and fire a triple shot whose arrows stick into the ground, exploding after a short delay. When she fires them ahead of her, players shoulddodge backwardout of the arrows' paths, but when she aims upward and a target appears, under the player they should instead sprint to outpace the attack and avoid the arrows as they come down.

Talia has another dangerous bow attack too, where she charges up a powerful single shot. The timing can be tricky, but the attack can be avoided by dodging to the left or right of the arrow.

How To Beat Talia: Second Phase

After emptying Talia’s first health bar,the fight will be briefly interrupted by the Court of Owls, who stand there menacingly before letting you get back to fighting. Talia restores herself to full health and arms herself with a glaive from the many lining the edges of the arena. This gives her far better reach with her attacks, which is going to be a problem.

Talia’s combo attacks indicated in red can be countered with a piercing attack to open her up for attack, or dodged repeatedly with precise timing, though her incredible reach means players will have to keep enough distance to avoid getting caught anyway in her flurry of blows.

She can also launch into the air andcharge a devastating attackwhere she crashes down to the ground into a spinning attack. Getting lots of distance between her andthe player characterand dodging away is the best way to handle this attack without taking damage. However, staying close enough to launch a counterattack is a valid strategy for landing a hit on her if players are willing to take the risk, as this attack has a lengthy recovery window afterward.

Talia often continues her attacks a step further than players might expect. Taking the time to learn the steps to her attacks by dodging and evading can be useful for understanding the best moments to attack her.
