Last year, Sony announced a newGod of Wargame, but showed nothing more than a logo. Fast forward to 2021, and all fans know about the newGod of Waris that it will be across-gen game coming to both PS4 and PS5, and that it will release at some point in 2022. However, it seems as thoughGod of Warfans may soon get the chance to learn more about the next game in the long-running series, if recent leaks are any indication.

According to Reddit user QuimSix, who accurately leaked the PlayStation State of Play date, aGod of War: Ragnaroktrailer will release at some point in August. They claim to have gotten this information from the same source that leaked the PlayStation State of Play date to them. They also said they “wouldn’t be surprised” if the event with theGod of War: Ragnaroktrailer also included a new look at the PS5 version ofGrand Theft Auto 5.

Obviously, fans should take this information with a grain of salt, but it really wouldn’t be all that surprising if aGod of War: Ragnarokreveal happened sooner rather than later. Reputable leaker Shpeshal_Nick previously believed thatGod of War: Ragnarokgameplaywould be shown at the PlayStation State of Play last week, only for that not to pan out, so perhaps their information was just slightly off.

And one has to remember that the originalGod of War: Ragnarokrelease datewas once set for late 2021. Considering this and the fact thatGod of Warhit PS4 three years ago at this point, it’s safe to assume thatGod of War: Ragnarokhas been in the works for quite some time and is most likely nearing the end of its development cycle.

Meanwhile, QuimSix believes that more than justGod of War: Ragnarokwill be shown soon. It seems that fans will also get some newHorizon: Forbidden Westupdates soon as well. They indicated that theHorizon: Forbidden Westupdatesmay not necessarily happen in August like they believe to be the case withGod of War: Ragnarok, so fans should keep that in mind.

Whenever Sony does decide to drop a properGod of War: Ragnaroktrailer, here’s hoping it answers some of the lingering questions about the game. Besides hopefully offering fans a look at gameplay, it would be nice ifGod of War: Ragnarok’s official titlewas revealed. While many have been referring to it asGod of War Ragnarok, the game is currently without an official title at the time of this writing.
