However, with so many hidden items and clues tucked away within the world, new playerscan make their experience less enjoyable or more difficult by making these mistakes. The advice provided covers the first 10 hours or so of gameplay.
6Ignoring The Ravens
Odin’s ravens make a return toGod of War Ragnarok. Whilst in the previous installment they were nice to pursue, the ravens featured in Ragnarok play a crucial role inimproving Kratos’ armorand other gear, especially in the early game. There are 48 green ravens scattered throughout the various areas of the game.

Players will be able tounlock several chestsas they hunt down and destroy these ravens, giving better boons that will spice up and make gameplay easier. It’s recommended that players don’t skip the ravens as backtracking can be a cumbersome chore.
To find the ravens, players will be equipped with 2 versions of the map, which is broken down into several regions. By checking each region, players will be able to know how many ravens are within that area and whether they’ve cleared out that region. Remember that these raven chests unlock some of the best gear and abilities within the game.

5Not Checking The Labors Tab
Within the player pause menu lies a typical quest tab that keeps track of what players need to do. Under goals lists the main storyline missions as well as the favors, which are essentially sidequests. However, there is another feature known as the Labors tab that’s located alongside the other two trackers.

The Labors tab displays side objectives that help to increase Kratos’ experience points. These can range from killing enemies or using abilities in a certain way to earning collectibles. Some examples include getting kills by jumping off ledges or using Kratos’ axe to inflict a certain amount of chaos or frost damage. All in all, accomplishing these various labors will allow players to rack up anincredible amount of XP quickly.
4Exploring Too Much
Whilst this point sounds contradictory as this game does reward players for exploring and locating certain collectibles, players are still advised to minimize their need to explore just a little bit. The game features plenty of areas that are not accessible. These include doorways with wisps of smoke coming out of holes as well as green ones.
Players should know that these doors cannot be accessed for some time until they reach a certain point within the main storyline. Thus it is recommended that players stick to the main story for as long as possible until these abilities are unlocked as it will then be safe to return to these areas. This is just to save players time wondering how to open these doors.

3Not Turning On Mini-Boss Checkpoints
Whilst the game can be made harder or easier depending on the player’s needs, there appears to be a lot of frustration when it comes to mini-bosses featured within the game. Whilst some can be easily cleared, others can be even more difficult than the main storyline bosses.
A neat trick to avoid too much headache is to go to the menu and search under accessibility. Here, players can activate the mini-boss checkpoint whichwill save a ton of hasslewhen confronting the more difficult bosses as it won’t have players begin from the start over and over again.

2Having Auto Pick Up Setting Not On Full
Another tip for players in a lurch is related to the accessibility tab. Under gameplay and playstyle, there is an option for players to toggle their Auto Pick Up to full. By not having the pickup option on full, players will manually have to pick up various items that appear from the ground. Thisincludes health and rage stonesthat will drop during combat.
Though this isn’t so bad in the early game, this little change becomes crucial as players approach the harder areas and late-game content. This is especially so for the more difficult boss fights where every move and second counts. By having this setting on full, players will automatically pick up everything they come across, improving efficiency.

1Forgetting The Ressurection Stone
Though Kratosis a god, gods can easily fall as evidence to all the others that the player is killing. Thankfully, players have a handy little resurrection stone in their pockets that can give them a second chance. Players can acquire such a stone from either Sindri or Brok but the maximum amount players can have is 1.
The stone won’t bring back maximum health and will only grant a small amount of HP. However, with the right cunning and strategy in mind, players can overcome harrowing encounters with ease by using the stone in the right circumstances. Always have one ready.
