The alternate outfits for Kirara and Nilou follow the same concept, and both characters will play a prominent role in the Flagship Event for the upcoming patch.
The new skins for Nilou and Kirara wereshared on the Genshin Impact Leaks subredditvia Videre Leaks, albeit without any textures. Thankfully, the models themselves are detailed enough for players to make out the general design.Nilou’s leaked alternate outfit inGenshin Impactcleverly keeps her horned silhouette by trading the headdress for a laurel wreath. By contrast, Kirara’s outfit is a more radical departure from her default look and appears to be inspired by Puss in Boots. Both are confirmed as 4-Star skins, with the latter being obtainable through the Flagship Event in Version 4.8.

In addition to her alternate skin, players can alsoclaim Kirara for free inGenshin ImpactVersion 4.8. As a Dendro 4-Star character, she helps enable some of the strongest Elemental Reactions in the game and offers shield support via her Elemental Skill. Though her ability kit only truly opens up after reaching C4, there is a very good chance that Kirara will also feature on the Event Banners in Version 4.8, as she tends to be a decent teammate for Nilou.
Given that the models have no textures yet, there is no way to accurately guess what their color scheme will end up being. That being said, if past examples are anything to go by, there are two likely outcomes that players are hoping HoYoverse will avoid: the alternate skins will either be black-and-blue, or they will follow the color scheme of the characters themselves. Both Kirara andNilou inGenshin Impacthave blue as a primary color in their default outfits, which strongly implies that the tradition will continue in Version 4.8.
