With the Luhua Landscape Questline being a short part of the rather expansive World Quest series of Liyue, players might have difficulty completing all the puzzles and requests across the questline’s multiple NPCs. Thankfully, having a clue of what they might need and where to go can give players an edge in solving this fun exploration puzzle.

Luhua Landscape: The Rewards

Players ofGenshin Impactmight want to verify their puzzle-solving and questing are worth the while before they even embark on the said adventure. And this makes sense, especially since there’s tons to do in the game already that players may want to make sure they’re maximizing their time.

Thankfully, this questline not only showcases the hidden beauty of Liyue, it also helps players better understand why Liyue appears naturally majestic as it has. When finishing this quest, players receive the following rewards, which is ideal for developing theskillsets of theirGenshin Impactcharacters:

Rewards of the Quest

Unravel The Secret Behind Luhua Pool

The first part of the Luhua Landscape quest involves Vermeer asking players to unravel the secret behind Luhua Pool. However, to accomplish this, players do need to make sure they’re able to spot Vermeer and trigger the quest in the first place.

Vermeer’s Location

SinceVermeeris the primary quest-giver for this questline, it’s important to always identify his location. He’s located in the southwest part of Luhua Pool and close to the Geo Elemental Puzzle in the area, which can be tough to get when players aren’tused to exploringGenshin Impactareas.

An easy way to spot him would be locating the Luhua Pool name on the map, skip the set of teal stones below it, and get close to the deep crevice just below the cliffs to the southwest. This is almost always marked in navigation, but players may also manually mark this on location on the map for safekeeping.

Vermeer’s First Request: Locating His Paintbrushes

When players first locate Vermeer, he’ll share a problem with the Traveler regarding his inspiration for his paintings. By the time he’s gotten to Luhua Pool, he didn’t realize most of his brushes were missing.

The questline inGenshin Impactgameplay finally starts when Vermeer asks players to locatehis paintbrushes. Vermeer’s nature as a traveling painter and his problem about his art materials is a reference to the painter Johannes Vermeer, known to be one of the best Baroque Period artists. When the quest begins, Vermeer gives playerstwo (2) paintings, each taking a scenery from the view of where the paintbrushes were left behind. Both of them are a reference to a tall location that has a view of the pool, meaning they’re likely taken on cliffs.

Vermeer’s Location

Paintbrush 1: East Side Of Luhua Pool

Players should go to the right side of Luhua Pool, on the tallest fortress in the area. They can easily spot the paintbrush through the gold dust sparkle indicator. Its location is given away by the presence of bags and books, as well as a canvas nearby.

Paintbrush 2: West Side Of Luhua Pool

The other paintbrush is located on the exact opposite side of the tall fortress, which is near a tall hill to the left of Luhua Pool. Again, the brush’s location is indicated by a gold sparkle indicator, and the process is made easier once players spot books and canvasses nearby.

Vermeer’s Second Request: The Stones

WhenGenshin Impactplayers return the paintbrush to Vermeer, they’d be surprised to learn that Vermeer has no plans of leaving the area just yet. In fact, he wants to paint even more, especially now that he’s located two (2) interesting status behind him.

It’s said that the statues have eyes that, when lit up, could be seen from afar. Unfortunately for Vermeer, the stone eyes of these statues were nowhere to be found. As players expect, it’s once again up to them to find those eyes.

Locating The Strange Stone

When players leave Vermeer, it’s up to them to find theStrange Stone. To do this, players simply need to tour the rocky area just away from Vermeer. Luckily enough, the largest cluster of rocks by the middle of the area should hide the location of the Strange Stone.

However, enemies are surrounding the Strange Stone, so players should defeat them first. It shouldn’t be a big deal, there aren’t any special units players need to watch out for. UsingNoelle ofGenshim Impactcan give players a nifty shield to ensure survival.

If Players Don’t Have A Strange Stone

Fans might wonder why they’re only tasked to find one (1) Strange Stone, when there are two (2) eyes. Interestingly enough, before players look for the Strange Stone, they might want to talk to Vermeer first.

When players talk to Vermeer about the Strange Stone without possessing it, Vermeer reveals that he’s already gotten one of the strange rocks with him, and it’s likely that there are other rocks like these nearby. This gives players one (1) of the Strange Stones needed.

If Players Already Have A Strange Stone

When players get the Strange Stone, they need to talk to Vermeer. This activates a prompt that will have Vermeer say that he’s had another Strange Stone, and that players might want to check if they can place these stones on each statue to see if something happens.

Vermeer’s Third Request: Activate The Statues

Playersused toGenshin Impactgameplayare no stranger to fetch quests that the game offers. However, the Luhua Landscape quest’s fetch requests will end up with a rather interesting final act. When players get the two (2) Strange Stones, they need to go up to each statue and place a stone on one of each. When this is done, this releases the Geo Elemental Totem near Vermeer, which activates a puzzle.

Solve The Puzzle: Defeat The Abyss Mages

When players activate the statues and unseal the Geo Elemental Totem, they’re able to use a character likeNoelleor evenNingguangto activate the puzzle. Once this happens, players need to defeatthree (3) Abyss Mages in 90 seconds.

Unfortunately for players, this battle can be a bit tough as they have to fight a Pyro, Cryo, and Hydro Abyss Mage at the same time. At its core, main tips here would be to constantly avoid their primary damage gimmicks to save time: the flamethrower for the Pyro, the freezing balls of the Cryo, and the floater balls of the Hydro. If possible, ask for assistance from a friend to defeat the Mages viaGenshin Impactco-op. To go solo, try to rely onhigh-ATK characters such as Keqing ofGenshin Impact.
