A gamer has shown off a clip where they play an explosive prank on aFallout 4NPC that has a reputation with fans. WithFallout 4approaching its eighth anniversary since release later this year, gamers are still finding fun new things to do in Bethesda’s apocalyptic RPG.

Over the years, players have made great use of the hilarious physics engine in Bethesda games to create some hilarious moments in-game. Some of these moments are intentional, while some are just glitches. The creepyFallout 4glitch that saw a Gunner attacking without a headis the perfect example of the moments the game is able to create for the player. Due to the random nature of the physics engine, it’s likely gamers will be seeing funny videos like this for years to come yet.

In the clip posted by Redditor Heldhram, they place a gas tank next to the Brotherhood of Steel’s Knight Rhys while he’s sleeping. They then shoot the tank, which sends him flying across the room in a very rude awakening. Bizarrely, neither he nor any of the otherBrotherhood of Steelmembers react to the situation, as it technically did no damage to either. In fact, another NPC near Knight Rhys speaks to the player as if nothing had happened, which ends up being quite a funny moment.

Knight Rhys is one of the more controversial characters in the game, and the comments in the Reddit thread reflect this opinion. This is due to his abrasive and blunt attitude towardsFallout 4’s protagonist, which he maintains even as the player continues to prove themselves to the Brotherhood of Steel. For a lot of players, seeing Rhys get a small comeuppance like this will be an extremely satisfying moment, especially as it doesn’t actually harm the character in any significant way.

Right now, it seems as though gamers face a very long wait forFallout 5. WithStarfieldandThe Elder Scrolls 6still to come, Bethesda has an extremely busy period on its hands, and it’s possible aFalloutsequel won’t arrive until the 2030s. WithMicrosoft’s acquisition of Bethesda, gamers can only hope the studio gets the extra resources needed to ensure the series isn’t facing a massive hiatus for years to come. In the meantime, there’s still plenty for fans to look forward to, with Amaon’sFalloutTV series having wrapped filming.

Fallout 4is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions coming in 2023.
