Dust and damage can build up quickly while exploring the sprawling Mexican map ofForza Horizon 5. Having to constantly pause the game and reset damage is a waste of time if players don’t want to see their car in a disheveled state.
It’s far quicker to just turn off car damage inForza Horizon 5permanently than it is to continuously reset cosmetic damage. This means players are free to smash into as many obstacles as they want, and their car will still look as pretty as the day they got it.

How to Turn Off Car Damage in Forza Horizon 5
To turn off car damage inForza Horizon 5, players should pause the game and navigate to the “Settings” menu, located in the “Campaign” tab. Select “Difficulty”, then go down to the “Damage and Tire Wear” option and change it to “None”.
No matter how many times players crash, or how much dirt they gather whiledriving off-road cars inForza Horizon 5, all vehicles will now permanently look their best. This option can always be reverted if players change their minds later. There’s even a “Simulate Damage” option that affects a car’s performance when damaged, if players want to test out driving in a more realistic manner. Turning on “Telemetry” in the settings will display how much damage each area of the vehicle has taken.
Turning off car damage doesn’t stop vehicles from getting stuck in difficult terrain, however. For that, players need to use the rewind feature, orrespawn inForza Horizon 5. Rewinding can sometimes leave a car stuck in a loading screen, so it’s recommended to respawn instead. This will leave the vehicle on a flat piece of terrain nearby.
Another hidden mechanic that can help elevate the look of a vehicle islowering a car roof inForza Horizon 5. This can only be done with certain convertibles, but the new cosmetic feature helps add another small layer of intricacy to the arcade-style racing sim. Convertibles look even better when car damage is turned off.
Players can even create custom liveries and designs for every vehicle to try and improve its look. This can range from a simple color change, to incredibly intricate designs. The liveries can then be shared and downloaded by other players for free, but the creator will still get Credits sent to their inbox daily. If others like the design enough, they can give the creator a like. This provides the designer withmore Kudos inForza Horizon 5.
