Of all theFortnitecrossovers released thus far, the game’s treatment of theTomb Raiderfranchise has been specifically memorable. Alongside the addition of Croft Manor,Fortniteplayers can acquire four different styles for Lara Croft.

For the reboot and Anniversary versions of Lara, players simply need to progress through thelatestFortnitebattle pass. For the classic variant that takes on the guise of the original Lara, complete with a less detailed face, players need to complete 31 epic challenges. Fortunately, the golden Lara Croft style is a bit less time-consuming, though fans will need to finish a few specific tasks to unlock it.

Landing At The Island Ruins As Lara Croft

Before doing anything,Fortnitefans need toequip the Lara Croft skinin order to complete the challenge. While the game does not specify which outfit needs to be worn for the criteria to be met, some players have reported that the classic skin and the reboot version of Lara Croft do not work properly. As such, the 25th anniversary Lara Croft skin should be equipped. Once done, players are free to start the challenge.

The first step for getting the skin will be going to the right place, and those on the hunt for this shiny version of Lara will want to look at the Southwest portion of the map. Right below Flush Factory is a small new island that wasadded inFortnite’s new update, and on that island is the Island Ruins location. Impossible to miss due to its position at the very bottom of the map, fans should be able to land there with relative ease. However, they should expect several enemies to come with them, as many will likely be trying to complete the challenge.

Picking Up The Golden Scar

Once they have successfully landed in the temple, players will want to rush to the stone pedestal and pick up the legendary Scar Assault Rifle. If they are first to do so, they will instantly turn into the gold version of Lara Croft. A great Easter egg that serves as acallback to the originalTomb Raider, fans should be pleased with the reference. Alongside turning gold in-game, the gold Lara style should permanently unlock and be usable in future matches.

It is worth noting thata newFortniteNPCis seen in this temple named Orelia. While she is not initially hostile, she will attack once the Scar is picked up, meaning that gamers will need to be prepared for a fight if they want to keep playing. Still, the weapon could provide a major advantage in the rest of the match if players can make it out alive.

For those just interested in the skin, though, dressing as Anniversary Lara and being the first to pick up the weapon is all that needs to be done. With the area likely to be a popular landing spot, though, waiting a few days for the hype to die down might be wise.

Fortniteis currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
