With the release of Chapter 4 Season 4,FortniteLast Resort, some characters felt that gamers had to earn their trust, and so to offer all of their services, players had to increase their Rep - a completely new mechanic.

How Rep Works
Rep is a mechanic that was introduced toFortnitein Chapter 4 Season 4. As the season goes by, gamers will have the opportunity toincrease their Rep with certain characters and unlock additional NPC services from them. This means that, as these NPCs start to trust the player, they will provide more helpful services, granting an advantage on the battlefield
For example, at the start of the season,Nolan Chancewill only sell a Twin Mag Assault Rifle, but as players increase their Rep with this character, he will start selling Holo Chest Keys, offering Prop Disguise services, and he will even become available for hire as a Scout Specialist.
Since the Rep mechanic increases an NPC’s value, it’s also available for gamers who don’t own the Battle Pass.
How to Increase Rep
In Chapter 4 Season 3, players were rewarded with additional styles for their Battle Pass skins if they completed a certain amount of weekly challenges throughout the season. This system has been slightly changed for Chapter 4 Season 4.
As Chapter 4 Season 4 progresses, certainBattle Pass characterswill have their own questlines, andgamers will be able to complete the various quests to increase their Rep with characters and unlock additional styles. These questlines will come out progressively, so as the season goes on, NPCs will have even more available perks to take advantage of.
Players can have a maximum of ten Rep with a character on the battle royale map.To check out which Rep quests are available, players must open the Snapshot section in the in-game Quests tab.
