Summary
FortniteSeason OG has welcomed millions of players back to the original Island, yet there are reports of a new visual glitch that is causing cheaters to appear incredibly small in the game.Fortniteplayers have been sharing their encounters online, noting that the glitch is being exploited; some have mentioned that it’s also a glitch that looks similar to one from before inFortnite’s past.
Ever since it launched in 2017,Fortnitehas become a widely-known multiplayer title whose popularity has been supplemented by its free-to-play status and cross-platform functionality. Before long, the game garnered a massive fanbase, with players filling up lobbies in the game’s battle royale mode. This left the original Save the World game mode on the back burner for better or worse, with Epic Games seemingly focusing on its battle royale experience to continuously optimize its experience. As time went on,Fortnitehas seen countless updates, with thelatest season bringing players back toFortnite’s roots. While Epic Games has brought the title back to Chapter 1’s battlefield landscape, it appears some issues have been brought onto the Island.

Much like any multiplayer game with a live-service model,Fortnitestill receives its fair share of gameplay issues, and Season OG unfortunately brings in a visual one. Players have gone to Reddit to share some recent interactions where they’ve run into other players exploiting a visual glitch. The bug shrinks the player’s appearance, making them appear almost ant-sized, nearly impossible to see. User valetoBG008 posted a few screenshots of their encounter with an anonymous player whose character model can barely be seen. After capturing the evidence, valetoBG008 then went ahead to report the incident, thus triggering a ban on the anonymous cheater.
It may be difficult to decipher if the visual glitch is a persistent issue, especially with theupcoming changes to theFortnitemap, though other players have shared similar experiences. In essence, if a player utilizes an in-game glitch, they’re exploiting the game entirely. The lines may seem a bit blurry, yet one user, ArenaGrinder, wraps up the concept briefly: “If it’s a glitch it can be considered an exploit, which can also result in a ban.” Interestingly, the ant-sized bug has plaguedFortnitein the past. There are several YouTube videos of players showcasing the glitch in different ways.
Moreover, the ant-sized visual glitch hasn’t been the only reported issue to come out ofSeason OG ofFortnite. Other reported glitches include invisible players, Princess Lexa’s skirt appearing incorrectly, random teleportation, and more.
Fortnitemay have broken player count records when Season OG launched, though the game is still exhibiting some issues. Players should report their ant-sized confrontations if they run into any similar situations. The Fortnite Status Twitter account provides further details on any issues that have been reported, though none seem to mention anything about ant-sized players in the game.
