There are many different quests and challenges you can complete inFallout 76. Some of these include daily challenges that can help you to increase your S.C.O.R.E rank and receive a bunch of rewards, such as cosmetics and skins,C.A.M.P items, money, and much more.
Within these daily challenges is the Destroy an Assaultron mission. This enemy can only be found in specific spots on the map and will be tough for beginner players to locate. In this guide, we will show you a couple locations where you can spot the rare enemy and get your rewards for the day.
Assaultron Locations in Fallout 76
There are quite a few different spots on the map where you can locate some Assaultron enemies. The best places to find them are:
These locations are where Assaultrons will appear the most frequently. In particular, you’ll find a large number of them nearWatoga Station, on the southeastern section of the map, shown in the image above. You’ll find the majority of Assaultrons just outside the town, covering the borders. If you follow along the stone wall here, this is where you’ll spot them.
However, we will note that this location is very farfrom Vault 76. If you’re just getting started in the game, a closer location you can stop by to hunt down some Assaultrons is theHornwright Summer Villa. You can find this area from the map image above. It is just south of the large lake nearby to the Overseer’s home, and shouldn’t take too long to reach for newcomers.
If you can’t find any Assaultrons outside Hornwright Summer Villa, go just southeast of the home to the83A road. At the exact location shown in the second image above, you’ll find a group of Assaultrons guarding a stone wall leading into an abandoned golf course. You’ll also find a Whitespring Sentry Bot and a few other enemies.
How to Defeat Assaultrons in Fallout 76
Before you go hunting down some Assaultrons, you’ll need to come prepared with a strategy. These enemies are not the easiest to defeat, so using the correctweapons and itemswill make the battle much easier. You’ll also want toincrease your levelto ensure you have improved stats.
To start, it’s a good idea to use a long-range weapon on them.Anautomatic combat riflewill be especially useful, and you canshoot at their legsto knock them down. Then, you’re able to proceed to get a further distance between yourself and the Assaultron and finish them off. You’ll want to stay away from them, as they will explode after you defeat them.
