Dungeons and Dragonscontinues to be one of the most popular tabletop roleplaying games in the world. The classic RPG’s 5th edition is constantly receiving updates both through official books and modules as well as unofficial fan-made additions and playtest material throughWizards of the Coast’s Unearthed Arcana. Now it seems that the creator of a parody version ofD&Dhas crafted a new playable race for 5th edition based on one of the most popular games in the world:Fall Guys.
For the uninitiated,Fall Guysis a new battle royale game where players compete in an obstacle course style game show, attempting to defeat others and gain the elusive crown. Perhaps one of the most charming parts ofFall Guysare the jellybean-like characters that players participate as. Players can customize their own Fall Guy by changing their color, pattern, and even donningoutfits based off of other game franchises likeTeam Fortress.

Now it seems that the Fall Guys can make an appearance in the localD&Dtavern through the newest 5e character race created by Jaron Johnson, the creator ofMonsters of Murka.Monsters of Murkais a parody version ofDungeons and Dragonsthat features subclasses such as the Brobarian, the Action Herofighter subclass, and the Affluenza sorcerer.
In this homebrew player race, players will be able to play as a Fallen Bean. The Fallen Bean race features a +1 to two attributes of the players' choice, as well as proficiency in both Athletics and Acrobatics. Fallen Beans also get advantage on saving throws against being frightened. Johnson also includes a lot of fun nods toFall Guysin the lore section for the race, such as a quote from Tymda Tatman, seemingly making fun ofTimTheTatman’s struggle to win a game ofFall Guys.
Video games andDungeons and Dragonsgo together like peanut butter and jelly. Over the years, players have painstakingly created their own TTRPG version of their favorite video game characters, such asYuna fromFinal Fantasy X, while others have created entire campaigns based on their favorite video game stories.
This addition of the Fallen Bean race seems to really show how popularFall Guysis with players.Fall Guyshas seen an insanely high player baseon both PC and PS4 and continues to dominate the conversation on social media. Perhaps with this Fallen Bean player race in players' hands, Mediatonic will consider reaching out to Wizards of the Coast to do a Xanathar themed skin forFall Guys.
