Playable Digimon
So far, there has been only a brief look at the gameplay forDigimon Survive, but there is a small handful of confirmed Digimon in them. It could also be assumed that, with the nature of the tactical battle system, players will be able to control the Digimon partners of the other human characters. This, alongside the gameplay videos and dev diaries, confirms the following as playable Digimon:
Interestingly, Palmon is not listed as any of the main charactersDigimonpartner, yet is shown as a playable ally. This must mean that, despite the smaller roster of Digimon available, players will still have some variety when choosing their team.

Other Confirmed Digimon
Digimon Survivebrings back some familiarDigimonthat are shown as enemies in the gameplay showcase. Among these familiar monsters are the followingDigimonconfirmed to, at the very least, be in the game:
Of course, this is but a small sample size of the entire roster ofDigimonthat one could expect to come across. With the nature ofDigimon, fan should expect to see variations of the Digivolution lines also available within the game. Agumon, for example, could Digivolve into Skullgreymon as a reward for making a bad player choice during the story mode ofDigimon Survive. This dynamic approach to evolution is one reasonDigimonhas become less like Pokemon over time.
Possible Digimon to Make an Appearance
Fans of the franchise might remember Leomon as a popular recurring character in various forms, and fans may also remember how frequently thatDigimonis killed off throughout the show’s series. As this new entry into the franchise is heavier in tone with choices that may have heavy consequences, this could be an opportunity to bring thisDigimoncharacter back for one more go.
Other more likely recurringDigimonare ones fans would naturally see throughout the normal course of a Digivolution. For example, Metalgreymon to Wargreymon isn’t too far of a stretch, while Kunemon to Kuwagamon to Okuwamon would make sense as well. Wendigomon has a light and dark variant on its Digivolution, so fans could see both of those make an appearance as well, given the game’s nature of choice. Despite what is known so far, anything can change asDigimon Survivehas been officially delayed, so fans will have to wait and see if their favorite Digimon makes the roster.
Digimon Surviveis currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
