The Elder Scrolls Onlineis a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that attracts players with its in-depth stories and an amazing world to explore. However, like any good RPG, players are always finding equipment and other valuables that don’t always have a purpose or lose importance later in the game.

With so many items to keep a track of, some players may wonder what items they can sell immediately without any worries that they will regret it in the future. These items can be sold to a regular merchant, with some of them carrying even better benefits if a player is able tojoin a guild that owns a vendor.
10Runestones
Starting off with arguably one of the most valuable items players can sell, Runestones do have a purpose in the game as long as players can get all three variants to combine them into an enchantment they can put on either jewelry, armor, or weapons. However, while exploring theElder Scrolls Onlineplayers are likely to stumble across plenty of Runestones with even more than they may need to useto make enchantments.
While at a regular vendor, these runes may not sell for much, those that are in a guild could make a fair profit by doing the legwork for other players. Selling Runestones in a small bundle or simply on its own for a couple of hundred gold is sure to help the player make some quick money.

9Fishing Bait
TheElder Scrolls Onlinepossesses a fishing mechanic that benefits from a variety of different baits. Some players argue that this mechanic is useless due to many of the recipes fish are involved in being quite limiting, and therefore, bait is only useful for completing certain achievements or collecting specific items.
Fishing Bait is another item that players will want to get out of their inventory as quickly as possible if they aren’t planning oncatching any fish. This also sells for a small amount at a regular merchant. Players will want to sell bait in a batch as a guild trader too.

8Food
As mentioned previously, food is something that is incredibly useful to cook up inESO.However, not all food is created equally. Therefore, some items are better sold than being used to prepare for various activities around this fantasy RPG.

Compared to other items, selling food at a regular vendor will reward the player with better money overall than if they were to just sell the cooking ingredients to them. While this does require more effort, on some occasions, players may simply find food while exploring.
7Cooking Ingredients
For players that aren’t looking for the extra steps of turning ingredients into various dishes then players can simply get rid of the cooking ingredients that may becluttering their inventoryand bank space. Players are likely to find plenty of ingredients while on their travels, though if they don’t have the right recipes, these items can take up unnecessary space.
Therefore, they should still only keep certain cooking ingredients for specific dishes while selling the rest to a guild trader. While it may not be immediate, players will eventually see their ingredients make them profits over the long run.

6Drinks
While food has its useful functions in theElder Scrolls Onlinethere is a significantly large number of drinks that aren’t strong enough to help the player in any way. These drinks tend to clutter chests and barrels of various dungeons inESOwhich players are likely to accidentally pick up while exploring.
These drinks can then be sold for a small price at a normal city merchant where that drink can finally make room for more useful items the player may find on their adventures.

5Low Level Potions
When adventuring across Tamriel as a member of one of the three factions, players are likely to level up quickly due to the substantial number of quests available to them. Many of these adventures will reward the player with potions that aim to keep them alive when taking on tough foes.

However, a vast majority of the time these potions will quickly become obsolete as they get upgraded tostronger healsas the player’s health bar grows larger. Instead of mindlessly using these old potions, a player will receive a more immediate benefit by simply selling them all to a merchant the second they start getting stronger potions.
4Fish
For players that have spent time fishing in theElder Scrolls Onlineinstead of simply selling their bait then they may instead wish to sell the fish they catch. Players are more likely to get fish when they are attempting to find a certain Crafting Motif that can only be found while fishing in Summerset.
While seeming like a painful task to complete, the fish players are sure to catch in the process can be sold for a fair amount of money. Fish come in various rarities and players are likely to make a pretty penny if they get lucky with a rare fish.

3Stolen Items
Like pastElder Scrollstitles, players can take a step into the criminal side of things by breaking into NPC’s houses in theElder Scrolls Online. While stealing may not be one of the easiest ways to make money, those thatthink of themselves as masterful thievesare sure to make a quick amount of money emptying an entire town of their valuables.

Every major city has an Outlaw’s Refuge which contains a fence where players can sell their stolen items. It’s important for a player to visit this fence immediately, as one wrong move can result in a player getting caught and losing all of their ill-gotten gains.
2Trash
Unsurprisingly, items that find themselves under the category of trash carry no real purpose other than to be sold to a merchant in town. These items don’t sell for a lot of gold, but when out and about attacking enemies, players are sure to get plenty of these Trash items.
The most common foes players are likely to face that will give them trash items are the bears and wolves that stalk the woodlands ofESO. Players are sure to get their hands on a lot of Foul Hide that can’t be used in crafting and instead only has the purpose of being sold.

1Treasures
One of the most important items that players should sell as soon as possible is the rare but valuable treasure items they are likely to find when killing foes or searching containers. Like Trash items, these Treasures only have the purpose of being sold, which makes them take up unnecessary space in the player’s inventory.
Certain treasures can reward the player with acouple of hundred goldwhen sold, though this is all determined by the type of treasure found. These treasures can also be found through pickpocketing or stealing from houses. As such, players are likely to stumble on a legendary treasure at some point.
