For the uninitiated,LEGO Builder’s Journeyis an award-winning puzzle gamethat earned a great deal of praise for its clever challenges. Unfortunately for fans looking forward to grabbingLEGO Builder’s Journeyfor free, the Epic Games Store has changed its offering, swapping out that game for a completely different kind of puzzler.
Instead ofLEGO Builder’s Journey, the Epic Games Store is going to give awayFreshly Frostedfor free from June 20 to June 27. Originally released in 2022,Freshly Frostedis a critically-acclaimed puzzle game about laying out conveyor belts to correctly frost and decorate donuts. While it may not have the most exciting premise,Freshly Frostedearned a great deal of praise for its vibrant art, soothing music, and challenging puzzles. The game is in factone of the highest-rated games of 2022, and so while it’s disappointing thatLEGO Builder’s Journeywill no longer be free through the Epic Games Store,Freshly Frostedshould be an adequate replacement.
Freshly Frostedisn’t the only freebie thatEpic Games Store userscan look forward to now that the June 20 - June 27 lineup has been changed. In the same time frame, they can claim an Epic Games Store Exclusive We Gamin' emote, 1,000 Gold, and 200 Gems forRumble Club, an online multiplayer physics-based party/battle game.
As for whyLEGO Builder’s Journeyis no longer the Epic Games Store free game for June 20, that remains to be seen. However, this is not the first time that the Epic Games Store has changed its free game plans. Earlier this year,Fallout 1,2, andTacticswere all supposed to be free on the Epic Games Store, but were ultimately swapped out. It’s been promised that theseclassicFalloutgames will be free on the Epic Games Storeat some point later this year, but it’s unclear if the same applies toLEGO Builder’s Journey.
