This milestone celebration was announced on Twitter, saying that both games have crossed 8 million units sold worldwide. Each one have different approaches to being aDragon Ballgame, withFighterZbeing a 2.5D fighter that is more of a traditional fighting game that Arc System Works have developed, whileXenoverse 2is a 3D arena fighter with RPG elements. Even with the different audiences that they appeal to, it shows how much fans loveDragon Ball.
To celebrate both games reaching this incredible milestone, Bandai Namco announced that there will be some commemorative in-game campaign events taking place.Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2will have a Raid Boss Battle with Full Power Jiren, that will be running from November 12 to 18. Meanwhile, over the course of November, certainDragon Ball FighterZ’s DLC characterswill be free to play during a specific period of time. This event will run from November 12 to December 7, switching between which characters are free every Sunday.
BothDragon Ballgames reaching this milestone while having different appeals and audiences is a testament to how much love is given to the property. Bandai Namco seems to be keeping both of these games going for another few years, as evidenced by the support given.
