Dragon Ageis one of Bioware’s most loved gaming franchises, with three main game titles to its name, as well as several spin-off titles in mobile, browser, and table-top role-playing game formats. 10Commander Cullen Tarot
One of the great things about theDragon Ageseries is the gorgeous official artwork that features within the game, as well as concept artwork released in book form. InDragon Age: Inquisitionthere were many images based on tarot card designs, presenting beautiful images of the characters, locales, and creatures from within Thedas. These cards were actually physically made and released as part of the collector’s edition.
Companions have more than one tarot design, visible when you choose who to take in your party, and these images change depending on their current personal quest status and the choices you may have made. Though not a companion, Commander Cullen’s official card was noticeably dissimilar to his actual features, so it’s great to see Eleonor Piteria’s more accurate presentation of our favorite advisor.

Dragon Ageis rich with its own lore and culture and one of the amazing results of this is the varying races and individual characters that players can encounter during their adventures. Arguably, Bioware creates some of the most in-depth character personalities and this is particularly impressive when you consider the multileveled aspects of characters depending on whether they like you, dislike you, or are romance targets.

The great thing about theDragon Ageseries is that players are able to create their own heroes; changing their looks and roles to make the protagonist their own. This really enables fans to personalize their journey and has prompted a great deal of fanfiction based on original characters.

InDragon Age: Inquisitionyour party companion icons change depending on the damage taken, but as the protagonist is customizable, the icon for your own character is just a hand that changes from green to red. Artist Kaj has cleverly created their own icons based on their custom inquisitor character while keeping in style with the official art of the in-game icons.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the next installment to theDragon Agefranchise, which fans believe is going to feature the previously unseen Tevinter Imperium area. The best source of information fans have had of this exotic land was in the form of mage companion, Dorian Pavus, fromDragon Age: Inquisition,who is a fan-favorite character.
This unique different take on Dorian by artist Mr Nicholas reminds players of the potential of theDragon Ageuniverse. Here we are given a glimpse of Dorian with longer hair in what appears to be the Tevinter Imperium. It’s not hard to imagine this possibility becoming reality forDragon Age 4as the last we saw of Dorian in theTrespasserDLC was him stating that he wished to return to his homeland to reform it.There are a few other characters that fans hope to return in the next game.

Dragon Age games just wouldn’t be the same without the romance options and this feature is most definitely a fan-favorite aspect.Dragon Age: Originswas a bit more open as to who you could romance/pursue at any one time, allowing you to earn the accolades for most romances in one playthrough. However,Dragon Age 2andDragon Age: Inquisitionwere a lot more linear in terms of chasing characters, though the romance itself was expanded with more scenes and conversations.

5Morrigan

Leliana begins as a light-hearted Orlesian bard who wishes to become a sister of the Chantry but goes on to become an assassin and spymaster. One thing that theDragon Ageseries definitely has plenty of is humor. The games are certain to give players a chuckle from their many jokes and humorous moments, but there are also plenty of scenarios and character quirks that weren’t necessarily meant to be funny but become meme-worthy amongst fans.
