How to Unlock House Upgrades

While upgrading the player’s house is something that unlocks pretty early inmany life simulation games, that is not the case for Disney Dreamlight Valley. Players will need to complete a few quests first. After helping Scrooge McDuck bring in more customers to his business, players will get a new quest from Scrooge McDuck calledDreamlight Valley Economy 101. The first step of the quest is to simply sell Goofy 7 gems of any kind. Gems can be found when mining the large black rocks that are along the rock walls of every biome in Dreamlight Valley.

Once this step has been completed, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will need to go talk to Scrooge McDuck, and he will tell them to invest the money they madeby upgrading their house. Players should look inside their home, and they will come across a blue elevator (with a design thatlooks right out of Aladdin) right next to the exit. From there, players will see a menu for expanding their house. The first upgradewill cost 1,000 Star Coins. Further upgrades will allow players to make the first room in their house a little bigger along with adding more rooms to the first floor of their house.

How to Upgrade the Exterior

While the elevator inside the house will allow players to expand and add more rooms and have space to use allthe goodies from the Founder’s pack, it will not change the exterior appearance of the house. That is where Scrooge McDuck comes in. Upon purchasing the first upgrade to expand the house, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will notice a sign outside their house with Scrooge McDuck wearing a hard hat. Checking the sign will summon Scrooge, and he will offer the player the option to upgrade their home forthe low price of 2,000 Star Coins.

While at first this may seem like just a cosmetic upgrade to the house, it does add more storage space into the player’s house. From here, Scrooge has two more upgrades to offer for the house that will not only change the appearance of the house but also add additional floors and storage space. Players should be prepared for sAome sticker shock, as the second upgradecosts 20,000 Star Coinsand the third onewill cost 75,000 Star Coins.

Once players have purchased additional floors, they will be able to use the elevator in their house to expand and add more rooms as well. Having more space means players will have more room to work withas they design the homeof their dreams in Dreamlight Valley.
