Today, soon after its release,Diablo 4was already announced as the fastest-selling Blizzard game of all time by the developers. In the announcement, Blizzard affirmed that gamers have playedDiablo 4for over 93 million hours since June 1, when the title was launched in Early Access. There is still not any information about how many units were sold, though, but considering how high these numbers are, it’s likely selling several million units.
However, despite the excellent launch in sales numbers, a few gamers are complaining thatDiablo 4is still lacking basic features. On social media, some fans are not very happy that the title was not launched with auto-run, stash search functions, or loot filters, which are considered to be essential by a few gamers and could greatly improve the experience. That’s not to say that the launch wasn’t smooth, though, especially when compared toDiablo 3.Diablo 4was released mostly bug-free and with an overall complete experience.
Blizzard also recently revealed that there area few expansions coming toDiablo 4. The game will have two full seasons of content and two complete expansions, which are said to be “massive.” With the newDiablobeing treated as a live service game by Blizzard, players can certainly expect more content than in the previousDiablo 3, as Blizzard will offer constant post-launch updates, including battle passes, and cosmetics. At the moment, though, not much is known about these upcoming expansions, such as their release date or any story-related details about them.
Diablo 4is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
