The Notice Boards inDiablo 4have a lot of untapped potential that could help solve some of the game’s missing quality-of-life features, and a concept made by one of its players only further reinforces that claim. While the visceral combat ofDiablo 4is addictive and fun, the system that wraps around its gameplay have been the source of some criticism.Character progression needs serious work inDiablo 4, and its user interface leaves a lot to be desired as well.

In many respects,Diablo 4is plagued by strange inconveniences – from the lack of a gem bag, to sudden disconnects and impromptu removals of Legendary Aspects. Though Blizzard is willing to listen, and is open to fixing some of these issues, many fans feel that they detract from an otherwise stellar experience. Theopen world inDiablo 4is vast, and in terms of endgame progression, it’s the place where players band together to confront Helltides and World Bosses, which usually spawn on a fixed six-hour cooldown within a time interval of two hours.

However, players have no way of knowing when thenextDiablo 4World Boss will spawnunless they regularly check the map and see a timer going off 30 minutes before spawn. The suggestion put forward by Azzinaughty would help alleviate the problem by having a World Boss and Helltide schedule on the Notice Board in major towns such as Kyovashad or Zarbinzet. Given that the community has already figured out the spawn pattern for world bosses, it should be a doable feature that doesn’t break gameplay.

It’s a suggestion that certainly garnered plenty of interest on the officialDiablosubreddit, as many fans have vented their frustration that having some info onDiablo 4’s open world events would go a long way on making the game more convenient to play around in. Whether on the Notice Board, or in a corner of the map screen, it would at least stop players from tabbing out of the game to check the timers. ThoughDiablo 4has been review-bombed on Metacriticin the past few days, with many users citing its overpriced microtransactions as the main reason for the low score, there are some shortcomings in the game that players are also hoping Blizzard will address.

With Season 1 commencing in mid-June, there is still time to implement some basic fixes and features to ensure a smooth inaugural season inDiablo 4. Though it would be folly to expect a complete rework of its user interface, or a fix forDiablo 4’s extremely punishing level scaling, it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility to at least have mount cooldowns and boss timers looked at.
