WithDestiny 2being such a big game, and with Bungie having to balance many elements of the looter shooter’s gameplay, it is often quite hard to keep all players happy with upcoming changes and patches. An example of this comes fromDestiny 2’s Season of the Lost and its Champion mods, which left many players bitter about what the game’s longest Season’s meta would end up being. Another example is much more recent, as yesterday Bungie nerfed drop rates for quick activities during the Festival of the Lost.
In fact,Destiny 2players could easily farm Spectral Pages and Candyby completing this week’s Nightfall, the Expunge: Tartarus mission, and Wrathborn Hunts. The nerf was received poorly by the community, and those players who had already taken advantage of these farming methods ended up completing their Page collection much faster than anyone else. As such, Bungie has the onus of having to tweak many items and abilities with the December patch, which could end up making some players unhappy with the outcome.

Today, the Senior Community Manager at Bungie, dmg04, announced that the December patch coming with the 30th Anniversary Pack will entail some fine-tuning to a popular Titan Exotic - the Dunemarchers. TheseExoticlegs have always been one of the go-to items in both PVE and PVP inDestiny 2, but they have also been bugged for a long time. What they do is chain Arc damage to enemies around the target of melee abilities, and the issue is that they seem to have a much larger range and effect than intended.
Dunemarchers can sometimes proc through walls and chain to and from dead bodies in the Crucible and in PVE alike, meaning that their actual range is much bigger, and they can break the game. Bungie sometimes has a tendency to break items by nerfing them into the ground rather than finding a good balance, which is why manyDestiny 2Titan players are unhappy about the changes coming in December.
TheAnniversary Pack patch will also include nerfs to Shatterdive, a very powerful Stasis Hunter ability, and the Vex Mythoclast, a Raid Exotic coming from Vault of Glass. Due to Season of the Lost being such a long Season, ending in February of 2022 when The Witch Queen expansion drops, players would rather see changes regarding the current rotation of Nightfalls or even seasonal mods, however unlikely that might be.
