Summary

Destiny 2streamers are reporting a new bug when playing Trials of Osiris, a game-breaking one that is causing complete crashes when users send friend requests. WhileDestiny 2is in a pretty good state at the moment in terms of player engagement, bugs and glitches continue to present a challenge, a common concern for most live service games due to the constant patching and updating.

Destiny 2is no exception, as even though the game is in one of the best states it has been in quite a while, there are numerous bugs hampering the experience. In fact, players have discovered a subtle, yet impactfulDestiny 2bug that reduces the effectiveness of the Hunter’s Golden Gunsuper. Recently,Destiny 2players noticed the Warlock’s Well of Radiance removes a 25% damage buff from Golden Gun if it is activated inside of the well. Well of Radiance replaces the Heart of the Flame seasonal artifact buff with its own, reducing the overall damage output and making it less effective unless the Hunter activates it outside the well first. Unfortunately for players, another bug has been discovered this weekend, outright crashing Trials of Osiris matches.

Reports from variousDestiny 2Streamers like GernaderJake and Wallah are showing off a new and frustrating bug impacting the weekend PvP activity called Trials of Osiris. This weekend starts with theDestiny 2New Territory map showcasein Trials with Eventide Labs being featured, though matches are being glitched and crashed from Bungie Friend Requests being sent. A user named Gen posted the footage of the glitch, checking a Bungie Friend request, which then crashed the current Trials of Osiris match entirely. GernaderJake attempted to turn off their HUD and hide the screen, but upon death, the name of the player is shown, allowing people watching to send more friend requests to attempt to crash games or influence the direction of matches. Naturally, for those attempting to go flawless, this bug is a major issue.

What’s a bit more concerning is that this issue doesn’t appear to be new. Some of the comments on GJake’s post indicates that this issue, or a very similar one, has been around for the past few weeks. At this time, Bungie has yet to comment on the current friend request issue, though there is hope that the support team or even theDestiny 2 Team accountwill comment sooner than later.

The Zero Hour exotic mission made its highly anticipated return toDestiny 2this past week, giving players a chance to earn a craftable version of the Outbreak Perfected pulse rifle. Unfortunately, someDestiny 2players found a frustrating bug while attempting to flawlessly solo the activity, as doing so does not actually unlock the associated triumph. Players will get the individual solo and flawless triumphs, though the combined solo flawless triumph does not unlock on Normal difficulty. Bungie has thankfully acknowledged the issue, so fans are hopeful that a fix is on the way.
