Summary
ADestiny 2player has managed to turn their Titan into Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Disney’sToy Storyseries. This was made possible byDestiny 2’s powerful Transmog system, which lets players use a blend of different armor pieces, ornaments, and shaders to create unique characters.
In the ongoingDestiny 2Season of the Wish, the Guardians brought back Riven in spirit form with the help of Mara Sov, who agreed to help the Vanguard in their pursuit of The Witness, based on certain conditions. The events of this season will eventually lead to The Final Shape expansion; however, since Bungie has delayedDestiny 2The Final Shape to June 2024, Season 23 will now run for 6 months. With plenty of time on their hands, fans are looking to up their fashion game inDestiny 2, with one player managing to recreate two iconic Disney characters.

In a post on theDestinyFashion subreddit, user QueenBreakersBro shared images of their Titan character, which they turned into Woody and Buzz Lightyear fromToy Story. For Woody, the player used the TM-Cogburn Custom Cover helmet obtained fromDestiny 2’s Spire of the Watcher Dungeon, and paired it with Ringwalker Plate chest ornament along with 5 different shaders to complete the look. To recreate Buzz Lightyear, they used the Phenotype Plasticity Plate chest armor that provided the winged appearance, along with the Lost Pacific Helm. As for the shaders, they used the Metropolitian Acoustics for the gauntlets, chest, and legs, resulting in a character that looks similar to the original.
Destiny 2’s armor synthesis has enabled players to recreate several other iconic characters from different forms of media. For instance, one player managed to make theirDestiny 2character look like Megamind, while another turned theirs into Guts from the Berserk anime. The community’s creativity doesn’t stop there, as one fan turned their Hunter into The Mask from the popular 1994 movie. Players have also taken inspiration from other video games, where one Guardian turned their character into Soul of Cinder,Dark Souls 3’s final boss, and another turned their Warlock into Preston Gravey fromFallout 4.
While this might keep players entertained for a while, Bungie has a crisis to deal with considering howDestiny 2’s popularity has plummeted after Lightfall. Bungie’s efforts to keep its independence after being acquired by Sony and a 45% drop in revenue projections were the chief reasons for the recent layoffs at Bungie. However, the situation is worse than it looks, asa report revealed the grim state of employment at Bungie. The report uncovered several other cost-cutting measures that the developer has implemented, creating a soul-crushing environment at the company. Consequently, Bungie has a mammoth task at hand and will need to exceed expectations with The Final Shape DLC to recover from the setbacks.
