Spyro the Dragonfans were treated to theReignited Trilogya couple of years back, and it seems like there could be more adventures for the beloved purple dragon on the way. Alongside the release of the art for the well-reviewedCrash 4, an obvious teaser for a fourthSpyro the Dragongame has been discovered.

There is plenty that could be donewith a potentialSpyro 4, but much like the latestCrashgame, keeping what fans loved about the original trilogy intact will be incredibly important for the developers. However, with Toys for Bob nailing the remasters of the first three games and creating a successful follow-up for Crash Bandicoot, it seems like Spyro is in good hands if he gets a sequel. Based on a new teaser, that sequel could be coming sooner rather than later.

Much like with theart book released forSpyro Reignited Trilogy, Toys for Bob has included some commentary alongside certain images insideCrash 4’s art book. Captured by the Twitter account SpyroUniverse, one bit of concept art showcases Crash’s journey to Dingo’s Diner. The description of the image mentions the “city down below,” and more importantly, “a little hint at Spyro.” Sure enough, Spyro the Dragon can be seen in the image if fans look closely.

While this could normally be viewed as a fun nod to the developer’s other work, or Spyro existing within Crash’s universe, it appears to be more of a tease at the character’s future. While an image of Spyro can clearly be seen displayed on one of the buildings, with the character’s name written below, that is not all there is to see. On the very same building, a large number 4 is well, a massive teaser fora possibleSpyro 4.

With fansrecreatingSpyro 3’s skate parksinsideTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, there is clearly still plenty of love being shared for the classic gaming mascot. Based on this massive art book teaser, Crash Bandicoot will not be the only PS1-era character to get a new game. While it is unclear what a modernSpyrowould look like or what characters would be involved, players should be hopeful when it comes to the idea of a newSpyrotitle releasing soon. Based onCrash 4, players should expect a bigger and longer game that evolves the series in new ways while keeping its charm intact.

Though the not-so-hidden “hint” at the future of theSpyroseries is incredibly exciting, fans have been given no idea on when info will be shared on the project. Until more news comes, players can continue to worship theincredibly cute round Spyro, basking in his glory until the arrival ofSpyro 4.
