This summer’s gaming showcase season is underway as505 Gameskicks off the season of announcements and trailers as soon as next week. Fans can expect to see what’s in the pipeline from505 Gameson May 17 at the publisher’s first-ever digital showcase, promising exciting new reveals and updates on announced titles.Based out of Milan, Italy, publisher 505 Games has been on a bit of a hot streak lately, releasing critically acclaimed titles likeControl,Ghostrunner,Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, and the most recentEiyuden Chronicle: Rising. In previous years, the publisher has held its showcase as part of a more extensive event like E3, Gamescom, or the Tokyo Game Show, where 505 unveiled the upcomingEiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. However, with thelack of an E3 event this year, the company is ready to deliver its own games showcase this spring.RELATED:Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase Will Be as Long as Their E3 ShowsFans can tune in on May 17 at 6 am PT/ 9 am ET on the publisher’s YouTube channel to see what 505 Games has in store for this year and the future. The publisher promises that in addition to updates for previously announced titles, it has “a brand-new reveal from a cult developer.” Tuesday’s showcase will be hosted by former MTV presenter Patrice Bouédibéla and will last for one hour. In addition to revealing new games, the showcase will feature in-depthdeveloper interviews in collaboration with 505for every game on display.

505 Games has elected not to hint at any games that may appear at Tuesday’s showcase; however, there is reason to believe that some big projects could be at the event. Last year Remedy announced that amultiplayer spin-off titleforControlis on the way. After the highly successful launch of the originalControl, Remedy has secured another co-publishing deal with 505 Games for the follow-up title. Additionally, developer ArtPlay has confirmed that a sequel to its highly successfulBloodstained: Ritual of the Nightis currently in development. Both titles could have a good chance of appearing at 505 Game’s spring showcase next week.

505 joins a growing list of publishers creating their own game showcases in the wake of E3’s cancellation. Joining 505 Games with independent events are the Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley on June 9, theXbox & Bethesda Games Showcaseon June 12, and the THQ Nordic showcase on August 12. Still to come are announcements from Sony and Nintendo. Players should keep an eye out for what will likely be a busy season of big gaming events.
