An object that closely resembles the grapple gun was featured for a fraction of a second during a trailer forBlack Ops 6 revealed during the Xbox Showcaseon June 9, where it flashed across the screen as just one in a series of rapid-fire images, as pointed out on Reddit by user Sammy-Jz. The trailer does not show the piece of equipment being used, but rather, simply being held by a character in a first-person view, leaving players to wonder just what its purpose will be in the game and in which modes it will be useable in.
Call of Duty Fans Are Divided Over the Grapple Gun
So far, reactions to the grapple gun’s appearance in theBlack Ops 6Gameplay Reveal Trailerhave been generally positive, as a lot ofBlack Ops 4players have fond memories of the times the tool saved them in the game, particularly in Blackout mode. However, there are those who would be much less excited to see the grapple gun reinstated inBlack Ops 6, with some complaining that the quick escapes it allows unfairly gives too much advantage to less skilled players who would rather run than fight a superior opponent. For those who enjoy boots on the ground gameplay, any kind of flashy movement option like this is a red flag.
