Buried Treasures arehidden collectiblesinChained Echoesthat are protected by puzzles. To find them, players must unscramble the arrowed circle symbols on the ground. But as anyold-school JRPG fanwould guess, deciphering the marks is by no means easy. This guide, however, covers everything players must know about uncovering the game’s underground treasures—with simplified steps.

The Buried Treasure is entombed at the intersection point of the treasure mark arrows. To find the exact location,imagine a line from each symbol’s pointers and dig where the lines cross. Since no other indicator exposes the treasure, players must keep pressing the interact button while investigating the area.
Put simply, players must thumb the interact button around the treasure’s approximate location. (The interact button is A on Xbox, X on PlayStation, B on Switch, and left-click on PC.) Done correctly, a text pops up that says, “Found Buried Treasure!”
Toward the end of the “City Watch” quest, Vesta instructs players to guess a Buried Treasure’s location by inspecting where the two symbols intersect. He reveals that only one arrow on each symbol points at the treasure, and the other two are misleading fakes; they do not cross or overlay.
Where To Find All the Buried Treasures
In total, there are 24 Buried Treasures across eight regions, three per each part of the map.
Rohlan Fields
Players can dig out two hidden treasures near the fast-travel crystal in the northern part of Farnsport river. The other two are across the lake on Basil’s north and northeast sides.
There are three Buried Treasures to the south of Rockbottom.
Fiorwoods
In Fiowoods, players can find two hidden treasures north and south of Iden. The third chest is in the north of Camp.
Flower Fields of Perpetua
There is one hidden treasure near each fast-travel crystal in Perpetua. And the last one is in the open field on the southeast of the map.
Arkant Archipelago
One Buried Treasure is on each side of the archipelago. But there’s one more near the fast travel crystal, which is only accessible via Sky Armor.
Flying Continent Shambala
There’s one hidden treasure in Research Facilities. And the other two are near Sova Village.
Magic Academy Nhysa
One Buried Treasure is near Seaside Village, and the other two are near the Market.
Ograne Grottos
The first treasure is in the north, near the fast-travel crystal. The second one is in the east, again, near a crystal. And the last one is found in the south.
What’s In the Buried Treasures
The Buried Treasure itself counts toward the overall treasure hunt. But it has additional items such as Rusty Weapons, Arcs, and Armor. Finding Buried Treasures alsolevels up players’ skills—and, in some cases,unlocks new abilities.
But mostbeginnerChained Echoesplayersgo on a treasure hunt to get chain rewards. Collecting these buried items is necessary to complete the chain reward deck and get the Reward Cartel Boss achievement.
