Recent rumors and leaks have suggested thatCall of Duty: Warzonecould be getting a Night Mode, and now there’s even more evidence pointing in that direction. ACall of Duty: Warzoneplayers has allegedly been thrown into a lobby where they were shown the Night Mode, suggesting that the feature could be coming to the popular battle royale game even sooner than fans expected.
Images of theWarzoneNight Modewere sent to ModernWarzone and shared on Twitter. They show theWarzonestarting animation, with player characters preparing to jump out of the airplane. However, it’s dark outside and the plane is lit up with green lights. Other users responded to ModernWarzone’s tweets to say that they encountered a similar animation in their games, only for the actual match to look perfectly normal.

This wouldn’t be the first time that new content accidentally appeared inCall of Duty: Warzonebefore the developers intended, and so it’s likely that fans will see an official announcement forWarzone’s Night Mode sooner rather than later. However, it’s unclear if the mode will be released as part ofSeason 5 Reloaded, or ifCall of Duty: Warzonefans will have to wait for Season 6 to jump into the action.
Night Mode isn’t the only potential newWarzoneSeason 6 feature that’s leaked online. It’s also been leaked thatWarzoneSeason 6 may very well be adding subway stationsto the battle royale map, which would potentially provide players with new interiors to explore. Whether or not actual subway trains will be included remains to be seen, but if so, they would make traveling across the map much easier.
Right now, there is atrain on theWarzonemapthat was added as part of the Season 5 update. The train typically has high-tier loot on it, but it’s dangerous to land on for a couple of reasons. For one, the train is actively moving and can easily crush players. Secondly, it’s very much exposed, meaning players can be gunned down pretty easily if they decide to land on it. A subway train would potentially provide players with much more cover, so it will be interesting to see if anything like that is implemented.
In the meantime, there’s stillnewWarzoneSeason 5 contentto look forward to as well. Fans can expect new cosmetics, playlists, and more to be added to both it and the standardModern Warfaremultiplayer in the weeks to come.
