Activision confirmsCall of Duty: Warzone 2Season 3will bring a number of new features and a new Gulag into the popular Battle Royale mode. Season 3 introduces a new take on the popular Resurgence mode, which will utilize the features being added soon toCall of Duty: Warzone 2.
Leading into the reveal of Season 3’s roadmap, Activision teased several changes forWarzone 2. For instance, the company confirmed Season 3 will bring substantial adjustments toWarzone 2’santi-cheat systemin preparation for the launch of Ranked Play.Warzone 2players may look forward to new content and features being added to all modes this month.

In a newCall of Dutyblog post dedicated to Season 3, Activision confirmedWarzone 2players will enter a new Gulag inthe Al Mazrah mapwhen the season launches next week. This new Gulag is called the Blacksite, which Activision confirms as a separate location from the Black Site super stronghold found in Battle Royale. Blacksite is a rectangular Gulag with several interior and exterior routes, serving as a training ground for operators seeking to return to combat. InModern Warfare 2, Blacksite will be available as a multiplayer map in Gunfight. Alongside the reveal of the Blacksite Gulag, Activision revealed Massive Resurgence and multiple features forWarzone 2Season 3.
Players will be able to experience Massive Resurgence on Al Mazrah with the returning Redeploy Drones feature inWarzone 2Season 3. Massive Resurgence is essentially the fast-paced same mode as Resurgence, but the player count has been increased to 150. While playing Massive Resurgence, players will be able to travel across the map more quickly by making use of Redeploy Drones. At the launch of Season 3, all Battle Royale modes will include Tempered Plate Carrier and UAV Tower features, allowing players to bolster their own armor and gain intel about enemy locations respectively.
More new features and items will come toWarzone 2in a mid-season update including the Gulag Entry Kit. In Season 3 and beyond,Warzone 2players who are killed in the Gulag have a second chance for redeployment by using a Gulag Entry Kit. If successful, the player may immediately redeploy without needing to request for redeployment from squadmates. Perk Package Items and the Deployable Buy Station will also be introduced in the mid-season update for Season 3.
The long-awaited Season 3 update launches on April 12 forModern Warfare 2andWarzone 2. Until then,Call of Dutyfans may enjoy the last playlist update forModern Warfare 2Season 2 Reloaded, which includes an improved version of Shipment 24/7.
