A newCall Of Duty: Warzone 2.0clip shows off a player’s ability to utilize an item in a way that makes it seem more like they’re playingFortnite.Fortniteis one ofWarzone’sbiggest competitors in the battle royale space, but the building mechanics are unique to Epic Games' product.
FortniteandWarzone 2.0are two somewhat-similar battle royale gamesthat have vastly different approaches to how players go about being the last standing on the map. Victory Royale inFortnitevery much orbits around the player’s ability to build as much as their accuracy or agility. SuccessfulWarzoneplayers tend to invest more into mastering and exploiting the games' movement mechanics and loadout system. That just makes it all the more interesting when one player chooses to use a largely-neglected CoD item in a way that many would describe as ratherFortnite-like.

A Reddit clip posted by a user named Maletal shows off a clip where the player iscleverly using the Deployable Cover item inWarzonealmost like a wall can be used inFortnite. The player will plant the Deployable Cover down quickly at the beginning of an engagement and then quickly maneuver around the cover to avoid as many bullets as possible and then drop the enemy. This is a fairly non-standard use of this item in the game, as most players wouldn’t even dare attempt wasting precious time during an engagement to plant the Deployable Cover down.
Some are definitely skeptical about how actually viable the Deployable Cover is when used like this. One of the top replies on the Reddit thread mentions that the poster probably died multiple times for the 5 successful attempts shown off at utilizing this strategy. The poster even admits in the replies that a compilation of every failed attempt at this strategy would be 20 minutes long. It’s unlikely that Deployable Cover willfactor intoWarzone 2.0’s best loadoutsanytime soon.
The Deployable Cover may not go on to be part of theWarzone 2.0meta, even after a clip like this, but it does showcase how any player with a good idea and a willingness to experiment can get a good clip with basically any item in the game.Call Of Duty:Warzone 2.0may not be the most balanced gamein the world, but it provides players with a lot of different options for approaching different situations. It can be easy to slip into only using the most broken weapons and items to go for the easy win, but it can be a lot more fun to see what happens when unorthodox methods are tried out.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
