Call of Duty: Warzonemetas are always changing and FaZe member NICKMERCS is known for keeping fans up to date on the strongest weapons. According to the YouTuber and streamer, though, theCall of Duty: Warzonemeta could be bringing an end to the dominance of the FFAR.

Intriguingly, theCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarFFARis widely regarded as the worst weapon in the game. Dealing low damage alongside a heavily nerfed fire rate and absurd recoil, the weapon is rarely used by players. However, inCall of Duty: Warzone, the opposite has been true. A tale of two weapons, the gun is the best option currently available within the battle royale game, boasting an incredibly high pick rate and decimating players.

However, loadout expert NICKMERCSbelieves the FFAR’s reign is coming to an end. Citing how the weapon is “100% the most used weapon” in the game at the moment, NICKMERCS’ argument hinges onCall of Duty: Warzone’s track record with other popular weapons. Making the strong point that the FFAR “has taken over the game for some time now,” the FaZe member states that it will only be a matter of time before it is “nerfed into the ground” by Raven Software.

Adding to his evidence, NICKMERCS cites the past dominant weapons and their various nerfs. The Bruen MK9 is cited, as is the R-90 and the Grau. Obviously, NICKMERCS mentions the absurdly overpowered DMR 14 in his explanation as well, with the fun having been nerfed several times in the past few months. Withthe DMR now unusable, but the Grau and Bruen still solid weapons in the right hands, it will be interesting to see whether the nerf to the FFAR is truly devastating or simply sees the weapon entering a more balanced state. With the weapon only being seen more often with every passing day, it seems like the nerf could go either way.

Regardless, NICKMERCS makes the argument that the nerf will likely be carried out sooner rather than later. According to the dedicatedCall of Duty: Warzonefan, the powerful weapon has grown so much in popularity that this nerf will likely happen sooner rather than later. As such, while it possible that Raven waits until Season 3 begins, NICKMERCS thinks that the nerf could be carried out around the time of Season 2 Reloaded. Still, it is worth noting that this is purely speculation on the part of the YouTuber, as no nerf has been officially confirmed yet.

Still, with NICKMERCS being as experienced as one can get withCall of Duty: Warzone, it seems more likely than not that he is right about this nerf. As such, players may want to equip theirbest FFAR loadoutand enjoy the current version of the weapon while they still can.
