One of the most popular mobile games of last year wasCall of Duty Mobile, which won numerous end-year awards, includingBest Mobile Game at The Game Awards. The developers have continued to supportCall of Duty Mobilesince launch with regular content updates, with the Season 9: Conquest update being arguably the most significant to date. And looking ahead,Call of Duty MobileSeason 9 has even more to bring to the table.

Call of Duty MobileSeason 9 now has a handy road map that shows players what they can expect throughout the new season. The next big update should come sooner rather than later, as the developers have teased large-scale 10v10 matches, new seasonal challenges, and a special event called Finest Hour that seems to feature characters from theCall of Dutyfranchise’s Zombies game mode.

It’s unclear exactly what theCall of Duty MobileFinest Hour event will entail. It’s possible that it will be a direct reference to theCall of Duty: Finest Hourspin-off game that launched in 2004. Alternatively, it could be the first sign that Zombies is coming back toCall of Duty Mobilein some capacity. For the uninitiated,Call of Duty Mobileremoved its Zombies modeto focus on adding new multiplayer and battle royale content.

Call of Duty Mobilefans got plenty of new multiplayer and battle royale content with the Season 9 update. This includes a World War 2 spin on the fan favorite Shipment map called Shipment 1944, in addition to the Gunsmith feature that’s popular in the latest game in the main series,Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. TheCall of Duty Mobilebattle royale maphas also been expanded, plus players can now use the Shield Turret score streak and get their hands on three new guns.

Since its launch,Call of Duty Mobilehas basically functioned as a “Best Of” compilation of theCall of Dutygames, and so fans can expect future seasons to add even more fan favorite content to the mix. WithCall of Duty 2020,rumored to be titledBlack Ops Cold War, on the horizon, perhaps futureCall of Duty Mobileupdates will focus on adding more content from Treyarch’sBlack Opssub-series.

Then again,Call of Dutymobile already has a significant amount ofBlack Opscontent, having featured its special modes like Gun Game and launching with one of its most popular maps, Nuketown. Regardless of what the content entails, though, franchise fans can expectCall of Duty Mobileto add plenty more content in Season 9 and beyond.
