Dragon Ball Xenoversehas a lot of room for growth. With other standout games in the franchise likeDragon Ball FighterZandDragon Ball Z: Kakarotdelivering experiences that fans have been asking for,Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3needs to step it up. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Needs More Character Options
One of the best parts of theXenoverseseries was the ability to make a playable character in the game. The second game in the series allowed fans to select from a variety of different race options across the series, including Namekians, Majin, and the Frieza race. However,Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3should have many more racesto choose from. The introduction of the different universe inDragon Ball Supershould offer tons of variety for players to choose from. Even withoutDragon Ball Super, there are still tons of races that have been left out like Androids, animal people, and Kai.
Along with different race options there are different transformations, or awoken skills, that can be selected for a created character. There aremany transformations to choose from inDragon Ball Xenoverse 2, although many of them were race specific. Considering what characters are prioritized in theDragon Ballseries, there are many more transformations specific to Saiyans than other races in the game. The next game needs to add more awoken skills so that the other playable races can be on the same level as Saiyans.Xenoversealso offers many power ups, and after the events ofDragon Ball Super: Super Hero, there are even more to put inDragon Ball Xenoverse 3.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Should Use More Story Arcs
ManyDragon Ballgames use the arcs fromDragon Ball Zand lightly touch on arcs fromDragon Ball GTandDragon Ball Super. However, the originalDragon Ballseries is often left outin most of the games despite being just as important as the other arcs. As such, a lot of great characters and arcs are left out of these games. The already expansive roster of characters would see some great additions like Kid Goku, King Piccolo, Mercenary Tao, and many more.Dragon Ball Xenoverseis built around “what if” scenarios in the franchise, and it would be fun to see different situations involving these story arcs.
AnotherDragon Ballseries that could make for agood addition toDragon Ball Xenoverse 3would beDragon Ball Heroes. It’s a natural fit for the series, as it also follows the time patrollers and introduces many hypothetical scenarios and new characters. It would also make it possible to introduce characters like Super Saiyan God Xeno Trunks, Golden Cooler, or Super Saiyan 4 Broly, adding more over-the-top fun.
The Dragon Ball franchise is huge and has lots of material to use for their games. TheDragon Ball Xenoverseseries is known for using arcs and characters from all across the series for different scenarios. However,Xenoverseneeds big improvements in its third installment. In order forDragon Ball Xenoverse 3to be a true celebration of the series, it needs to give fans more freedom with their custom characters while adding story arcs from the franchise.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2is available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
