Ahead of the release of Season 16 ofApex Legends, one player has come up with a rework for Revenant. While Revenant will play differently in the upcoming season ofApex Legendsdue to the addition of class perks, some fans think the character needs a more thorough overhaul in order to become a top pick in the meta.

Introduced at the start of Season 4 over three years ago,Revenant is a significant part of theApex Legendslore. He is a simulacrum responsible for the death of Loba’s parents and has been featured in several cinematics. Unfortunately, he has not been as impactful when it comes to gameplay compared to other characters. Despite coming equipped with a set of appropriately-themed abilities, such as a Death Totem, the Legend frequently has one of the lowest pick rates inApex Legends. However, one fan of the battle royale wants to change that.

Taking to Reddit, a user known as garmack shared an intriguing idea they had for reworking Revenant inApex Legends. The Reddit user, who claimed they had 2,300 hours playing the Legend, focused their rework concept on Death Totem. According to the gamer, it needed to become a “buffed SOLO ability” in order for the character to become effective and rise in popularity.

In the Reddit post, garmack went into considerable detail about their proposed changes to the Legend. Based on the Reddit user’s comments, Revenant’s new Ultimate would lose the Totem and only affect him, similarly to howBloodhound’s Beast of the Huntis initiated. While Revenant’s Ultimate is active, he would have death protection and a 30% speed boost, allowing him to press the offense more effectively. In addition to the Ultimate rework, garmack proposed giving the Legend fortified, which they argued would make him harder to kill, indirectly buffing death protection.

Since garmack posted his Revenant rework concept on Reddit, numerousmembers of theApex Legendscommunityhave given their feedback. With over 750 upvotes, the responses from fellow players have mainly been positive. One user pointed out how making the Ultimate a solo ability would eliminate the problem of trying to coordinate with random teammates. In addition, others were excited by the possibility of playing Revenant as more of an “aggressive flanker.”

Unfortunately, Revenant mains will likely have to wait a while before the character gets a significant rework.Apex Legendshas released the Season 16 patch notes, and Revenant is not one of the Legends receiving a rework beyond the changes made with the new class system. Nevertheless, there is always the chance that a rework of Revenant along these lines could be added at some point in the future.

Apex Legendsis available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
