Recently, a Reddit user posted a few rooftop balcony images on the r/AnimalCrossing subreddit. The post has gone viral, as it is something that many players may want to try themselves. The player used the Island Designer tool to raise the ground behind the house. Additionally, the ground was then changed slightly to match the color of the roof of the home. From the right angle, it makes it look like players can walk on a rooftop balcony that would be connected to their residence. The final product also works perfectly with anew tool that was added toAnimal Crossing: New Horizonslate last year.

Nintendo added the ability toplace permanent ladders inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsin November of 2021. With this, players can then climb up and down the balcony with ease. It almost looks like a player could get to the balcony through a back door on the second story, but of course, this isn’t the case. So instead, the ladder works flawlessly.
On top of creating a rooftop balcony that is accessible and looks attached to the home, the Reddit user “dressed-up” the balcony with various decorations and items. The fence, plant, chair, and clothesline all look right at home on the balcony, which makes the construction all the more believable. Among the hundred-plus comments, there were many who said they were now also going to give this idea a try. Given the inventiveness of theAnimal Crossing: New Horizonscommunity, there will likely be plenty of players who come up with gorgeous rooftop balconies of their own.
