The newScreammovie is in theaters right now and has earned mostly positive reviews from critics, with many praising it as perhaps being the bestScreamsequel to date. There’s been a big marketing push for the newScreammovie in video games, withGhostface added toCall of Duty: Warzonea couple months ago, and now popular social deduction gameAmong Usis the latest to cross over with the slasher movie franchise.
Among Ushas announced a collaboration withScream, including a stream of the game that pits actors from the movie against various streamers. TheAmong UsxScreamcrossover will also include cosmetics, naturally, with fans soon able to get their hands on a Ghostface costume for their crewmates. Release date and pricing information for theScreamcosmetics inAmong Ushave not been announced at the time of this writing beyond that they are “coming soon.”

A crossover with thenewScreammoviemakes a lot of sense forAmong Usbecause of the nature of the game. InAmong Us, the goal is for players who are designated the “Imposter” to go around, secretly killing off the crewmates one by one. Meanwhile, the crewmates have to figure out who the Imposter is and then successfully vote them out of the game. While it is clearly inspired byThe Thing, this is a concept that’s not unlike theScreammovies either. After all, theScreammovies are all about characters getting killed off one by one with the surviving cast members having to work together to figure out who’s behind it all.
This is far from the first crossover content that’s been featured inAmong Us. Thanks to the game’s massive surge in popularity,Among Ushas had multiple crossovers, adding things likeRatchet & Clankcosmeticsfor its PlayStation debut andLeague of Legendscosmetics to promote the release of the critically-acclaimed Netflix animated series based on the game,Arcane.
WhileAmong Usisn’t quite as popular as it once was, the game still has a sizable fanbase and is now readily available to even more players.Among Usrecently made the jump to PlayStation and Xbox platforms, opening it up to a wider audience.Among Ushas reportedly enjoyed success on PlayStation so far, becoming one of the most-downloaded games of December 2021.
Among Usis also available on Xbox Game Pass, so Xbox gamers have pretty easy access to it as well. And hopefully soonAmong Usplayers across all platforms will be able to get their hands on theScreamcosmetics.
