An incredibly creative fan of Remedy Entertainment’sAlan Wake 2has made a LEGO version of the game’s highly memorable We Sing musical sequence. Having been released in October 2023,Alan Wake 2was able to stand out in a year filled with incredible gaming experiences. The popular sequel later went on to earn eight nominations at the 2023 Game Awards, including one for Game of the Year, and won Best Narrative, Game Direction, and Art Direction.

Early on inAlan Wake 2, near the beginning of Alan’s perilous journey through The Dark Place, players encounter a surprising and surreal rock musical sequence entitled “We Sing”, featuring Mr. Door, Alex Casey and the Old Gods of Asgard. As players fight their way through Mr. Door’s television studio, the Herald of Darkness musical hashes out key moments of Alan Wake’s life and story.We Sing quickly became one of the most talked about moments ofAlan Wake 2. The sequence was so popular, the cast ofAlan Wake 2involved in We Sing, including the game’s writer and director Sam Lake, and Poets of the Fall, the band behind Remedy’s fictional Old Gods of Asgard, performed it live on stage at The Game Awards.

Alan Wake 2’s surreal We Sing moment has inspired one talented fan to recreate the musical sequence using LEGOs. On Twitter, Elizabeth - IX posted a 90-second clip ofAlan Wake 2’s popular Herald of Darkness moment, with each character represented by LEGO minifigures. The video starts off with show host Mr. Door’sintroduction of Alan Wake, using the original audio from the game. An Old Gods of Asgard title card pops up before Mr. Door breaks out into song, and the early part of the musical sequence is faithfully recreated shot-for-shot.

Under Elizabeth’s tweet, the officialAlan Wake 2Twitter account chimed in with praise for the LEGO We Sing sequence. Following up, the real-world band behind Old Gods of Asgard, Poets of the Fall, also expressed their admiration. The LEGO recreation did end quite abruptly, but Elizabeth’s tweet noted that this is just the first part, and that the rest of the musical is still being worked on in LEGO form. With this in mind,fans ofAlan Wake 2who enjoyed this super creative LEGO version of Herald of Darkness should keep an eye on Elizabeth’s Twitter for the second part.

This fun LEGO version ofAlan Wake 2’s musical is a nice way for fans to keep in touch with the game while they await its first upcoming DLC, titled Night Springs.
