Now, Lead Level Designer Kevin Pinson has confirmed that the average playthrough ofA Plague Tale: Requiemshould take around 15-18 hours. This marks an increase in playtime fromA Plague Tale: Innocence, which only took around 10 hours to complete. Speaking on the subject of the increased runtime of the sequel, Pinson said that there was no pressure to make the game longer. Rather, it was “about pacing,” ensuring that the runtime fit the story that Asobo Studio wanted to tell.
Pinson also remarked that there won’t be any “filler” inA Plague Tale: Requiem, meaning that players will only be getting story content in the 15-18 hours it takes to complete the game. Even without any open-world exploration or major side quests for the player to complete, there will be plenty ofnew gameplay options inA Plague Tale: Requiemthat could get players to come back for a second run. As stated, Amicia will have a lot more options in the second game when it comes to taking down foes.
A Plague Tale: Requiemwill release on PC, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X/S on June 10, 2025.
