The mild-mannered, nerdy, good-willed, and wise-cracking Peter Parker is a household name and the staple of the Spider-Man franchise. With his true identity hidden behind his mask, Peter’s personality is free to flourish as he accomplishes wonders as Spider-Man.
As gamers and Spider-Man fans, Miles Morales’s personality is definitely something players want to have properly portrayed in his solo videogame debut. With the tagline of the game being, “Be Yourself,” it’s important Miles’s unique essence is captured and that his take on the mantle of Spider-Man is different than Peters.
9Don’t Want To See: Complete Lack Of Confidence
With the success of theSpider-Man: Into The Spider-Versefilm, many people around the world have seen the character arc of Miles feeling as though he has big shoes to fill living up to Spider-Man’s name and legacy, and struggling with conjuring belief within himself that he can.

Spider-Man is well known for his iconic form of acrobatic travel called"Web-Swinging.“The original Spider-Man, Peter Parker has become a master of this form of travel, performing swashbuckling maneuvers and near impossible feats whilst swinging from the buildings of New York City using his web-shooter devices.
Due to Miles Morales being his own version of Spider-Man, gamers want to see his own trademark swinging style that emulates movements that he learned from Peter but adds his own acrobatic flair to the iconic ability.
7Don’t Want To See: Boring Villains
Being one of the world’s most famous superheroes,Spider-Man has many villains and superhuman scoundrels trying to control NYC, kill him, or perform dastardly deeds. Miles’s first solo videogame will feel very lackluster if the villains he is up against are boring and generic.
This is something fans definitely do not want to be the case. For an engaging and new gameplay experience, Miles Morales’s version of Spidey should have a variety of super-powered villains that he can go up against and solidify as “Miles Morales Spider-Man” villains.
6Want To See: Use Of Miles’s Unique Spider Powers
Although Miles Morales has many of the same superpowers as the original Spider-Man, he was not bitten by the same radio-active spider, but instead a slightly different genetically altered one.

5Don’t Want To See: Non-Superpowered Stealth Missions
If there’s one thing fans were not too fond of inInsomniac’sPs4Spider-Man title, it was the mandatory non-superpowered stealth missions players were forced to play through in order to advance the plot. In a game where one plays as the ever acrobatic Spider-Man, these missions severely felt like a slow bore that hindered the experience.
A departure from this element during Miles’s debut to the playable Spider-Man world would be much appreciated by gamers, especially since it is the first time he is the main protagonist!
4Want To See: Blessing From Peter Parker
It’s nearly impossible to tell a great Miles Morales Spider-Man story without some form of acknowledgment to his mentor and idol, the original Spider-Man. Fans are definitely looking forward to seeing how Peter Parker inspires or gives his blessing to Miles Morales’s taking up of the mantle of his iconic idea and all that the heroic moniker represents.
Hopefully, the upcoming PS5 title will allow the gamers to feel as though Spider-Man himself has passed the torch to the player and encouraged them to reach heights as a new Spider-Man. As the story progresses, Miles should start living up to Peters’s legacy in his own way.
3Don’t Want To See: Limited Landscape
Nothing makes a Spider-Man gaming experience like swinging through New York City. The whole city. One thing fans definitely do not want to see in Miles’s first game is a reduction of the city or a limit to how much of New York can be explored within the free roam aspects of the game.

Players want to be able to roam the city as they were able to do during the previous title and do not want to be restricted to a limited section of the N.Y.C landscape.
2Want To See: Well Thought Through Story
Spider-Mandid an excellent job of introducing Miles Morales into Peter Parker’s story without making it feel like it was being forced too much into the plot. Similarly, it’s important that Miles Morales’s debut does not seem forced and has an excellent plot to drive home the graphical capabilities of the PS5and the new gameplay elements for this take on Spider-Man.
Fans want to see a plot that is just as well thought through and engaging as Peter’s story was in the PS4 equivalent, but now with Miles as the forefront character.
1Don’t Want To See: Too Short Of A Game
With Miles Morales hype being at an all-time high, gamers looking forward to the new title are anticipating being entertained with a proper length game featuring the character as a capable and semi-experienced Spider-Man.With rumors of the game being simply DLC, this title should feel like a long enough gameplay experience that solidifies Miles as a respected Spider-Man regardless, and should not feel like a half attempted effort or a mini-game.
With the announcement ofSpider-Man: Miles Moralesbeing revealed at the same time as the PS5, it’s fair to assume fans can trust Insomniac Gamesto impress, but only time will tell!
